Can anyone recommend 1 or 5 super bright LED E27 bulb?

Inside our conservatory has 1 main light fixture and old garden light fixtures (2 bulbs each) at either side of the door. The current standard 7w 800lm bulbs in them doesn’t seem to generate enough light. Feels really dim coming from inside with 10 400lm GU10.

I’m thinking replace the main fixture bulb with a super-duper really bright bulb, or replace all with more brighter bulbs.

I guess problem is no ceiling large portion of light is not reflected back?

I had the same sort of problem, a conservatory with a transparent plastic roof and four light fittings that all point upwards. In my hallways I have these 1400 lumen units, but they don't project sideways much. If your main light fitting is a standard pendant then it would be a good starting point, get the 3000k unless you're a psychopath.

For my own conservatory I fitted these as the side spill was essential, and they were a big step up, although I'd prefer just a hair more light.

If you really want to go mad, search for LED cobs, you can get them in silly bright configurations.

When I moved into my flat everywhere was painted in shades of brown and beige, and all the lights were crap old yellow bulbs. I replaced them all with some daylight bulbs from Wilko that kick out about 1500 lumen at about £8 a pop. The daylight bit is the key, gives a white light instead of the usual yellow most people have.

They certainly light up the room, and just the other day my bro commented something like "sh!t, thats bright".

edit: these, but mine are bayonet

We have some 60 or 70W LED arrays at work, would you prefer a 6 or 12 degree output? :p (also they're in NIR, so no useful as all for this, but hell are they bright under the right camera!!! The min safe distance is like 30cm which adds to the fun!)

Sounds madly overkill to pair with a Raspberry Pi NoIR camera!

We use much more mad Flir Black Silicone high sensitivity cameras to do photometric stereo imaging at like 20m+

    (sorry to derail)

Epic stuff @Bloody_Pete! I still want a Flir thermal camera, because thermal imaging.
Having one on my next drone would be perfect. Just too expensive to justify that sort of purchase.
Maybe work will need one in the future?

Thanks all. Yes, main light is standard pendant from top of the conservatory. Roof of conservatory is glass that is mostly transparent, letting light escape.

I'm also asking wife to consider some sort of downwards light shade rather than the current round Ikea one that casts spider shadows.

This 2000lm, now we are talking. I'll want 2700k-3000k warm white to match the other 4 bulbs and living room.

Any 2000lm E27 I can buy from online retailer? In Tier 4 and would happily stay home all week, but would like to have brighter conservatory before new year.
How about this Philips E27 large orb 2000lm?

i dont know why, but ive always disliked 'warm white' as a bulb colour i always go for a much cooler white

Generally around 6500k is about the colour i try to aim for, but mismatched white colours annoy me just as much XD

Defo look for a more downshade, when you dont have much in the way of light, aiming it down is far better

I have my Kasa bulb set to around 4200k, as I find warm horrible to do anything in and I have 6000k in my hallway and they're far too white! Makes it look muck brighter though!

I have 4400k set as daytime max, 2500k as night time min on my home automation circadian lighting config for the smart bulbs that we also use during daytime.

All other lights are warm white because it feels more natural when using them in the evening. So want to match all other warm white lights. (second or third from the left in that pic)

This is dumb bulb because there is no need for smart ones in the conservatory. We are either in there or not, can’t think of automation yet.

What do people feel about this kind of "corn bulb" for side projection? Basically loads of LED together.
