I thought I was almost finished. It made me sad... But someone told me I have another 60 stars to go and it turns out I'm not even 2/3rd's of the way through! This is a massive game!

Toy's-R-Us is out of reach for me.

Hmm.. I didn't look at EBgames... Hmm.. I'll be surprised if they have it downtown... well I'll still check it out as it's on my way to buy other stuff.

    Thanks!

W00t, I got Super Mario Galaxy for 49.99$ at Zellers, everywhere I looked, they were selling it at 59.99$ (rip-off)
I must say Zellers has surprising low prices and they do really match the US market pricing.
Before the Canadian dollar hit the same level as the US, I was able to purchase the component cable from Nintendo brand, for like 15$ cheaper then other stores (aka, FutureShop, ebGames)

Thought I'd bump this as I have some lame glitch in Mario...

When I save, turn the Wii off, and go back on, my lives always go back to 5, and I always have a message from Peach saying how I can have 5 lives etc. It's doing my head in, yesterday I had about 40 lives, day before I had about 30, I could be on 200 heh, does the game do this on purpose or something?...

I dont remember mario games ever saving how many lives you had (except VC ones with save feature ;) ) yes it's like this on everyones mario.

It's easy to save up lives though as they're everywhere.
Annoyed me at first but given how many there are and how rarely you tend to die (except on purple coin luigi level) it's not that big a concern imo

Played this round my mates house the other day, I did think it was fun and pretty damn good, but I really don't see what all the fuss is about TBH.

You really need to play the game properly m8, some of the levels are genius, they should of called it Super Mario 64 Galaxy! ;)

Benj - I swear Mario 64 used to save your lives, not bothered about it because everytime I load the game, Peach gives me 5, and 2 are on the Galaxy Platform thingy anyway.

Got SMG with some WHSmith vouchers i got for xmas. I think its a great game but i just can't get near the wii to play it! We got a wii as a 'family' present for xmas but everyone is always on it playing wii sports together. Can't have it all, gives me an excuse to give my new 8800GT the attention it deserves though ;) On the plus side i did an all night gaming session on the wii with my 50yr old dad. The wii is actually gaining support for gaming from my family (so i dont get frowned on as much any more when gaming)

This game makes the wii look as powerful as nintendo claim.

Graphics are as good as most 360/ps3 titles in my opinion!

I don't think the 360 or PS3 could do a much better job. It's not a massively complicated game. All that might be better would be the number of objects possible on screen and the edges be a bit smoother.
