I'll give them a month before their company is put out of business.... goes to show how un-innovational the shuffle really is though considering an independant makes a much better version within a month of release.

I'll be it's more expensive. $99 for 512MB is an awesome price for the Shuffle.

I would be very surprised if its not cheaper than the apple version there is no point in them selling it if its not cheaper :)

Well, it's exactly like the Shuffle, but with an FM tuner and voice recorder, and it can play WMA's. Those are reasons enough for it to be more expensive. People buy the shuffle because it's tiny and cool looking.

If it looks identical and has extra very useful functions (WMA and not relying on gayass iTunes) then the shuffle really doesn't look that great. And £99 for a 512mb limited flash player without screen or decent controls really isn't great value. It's a fashion statement plain and simple.

Well it's £69 for 512mb, £99 for 1GB. I was talking about USD. $99 USD for 512MB. And it doesn't rely on iTunes, you can use third-party software.

BTW, WikiPedia mentions something about this in it's article on iPod Shuffle:

I wonder how much Apple will be able to do since Luxpro is Taiwanese?

What does that mean? Most of Apple's hardware is built in Taiwan, just FYI.

Hmm. Well, I mean since Luxpro isn't a US company. I wasn't sure if the laws in Taiwan are different concerning this sort of thing.

Might not be able to get them there but they will never beable to release it here in the US which deffinatly limits their market...

I highly doubt they will be able to sell this thing without landing themselves a massive lawsuit. I mean, selling knock-offs at markets and such is one thing... But having it on a website and putting it up at CeBit? rofflewaffles!

one of my mates just got the iPod 512 shuffle, £69

i mean its alright, small and light, looks kewl.

but with no screen or anything, i dont think its that good a bargin.

id probly save up a bit more and get a mini iPod

    :EDIT:

i was just woundering, do you think a company like this would even think about produceing such a simular product if they wer going to run into legal issues so easy?

just a thought that croped up in my mind

Man all the people on ipodlounge are actin glike total tools.
They keep asking how oyu can use it if it doesnt support itunes...
DUDE its a jump drive, DRAG and DROP...
And some are saying that its only DRM, which is crap, it SUPPORTS DRM, but noy only DRM.

I think that this will do fine, and will be available in flea markets, china town etc.

Muck like the Game King, iZon, Lenvo cell phone, and others

I'm pretty sure I read over a week ago that this was purely a marketing thing by the company, they make the circuit boards to go inside these things and then sell them to OEM's to put inside there own cases, they decided to make a load of renders that show it inside an identical Ipod Shuffle to drum up interest. Seems to have worked :)

Their version of the case may be 50% thicker but considering the extra functions, it's an achievement. Even though we'll never see them it's nice to see...

That's because they're a bunch of blummin Apple fanboys.
I commend the company for trying this, it just shows that the Shuffle is still a waste of space so to speak and isn't a decent mp3 player by any stretch of the imagination really. I just wonder why they bothered making it with the obvious pending lawsuits.
