Have an MSI 4200 GF4 VTD64 VIVO and the breakout box is missing anyone seen anything like the connector below (plug of course) checked farnells, rapid & cpc (do rs later ) but I suspect its not available
RS part number 232-8877 Farnell part number 152-391 These are the only 9-pin mini-DIN connectors I can find. The pin spacing doesn't seem quite right though. A suggestion would be to buy a socket and plug from farnell and solder a new connector onto your graphics card if the pin spacing is incorrect with the original socket. /edit Looking at the datasheet for the farnell connector (made by Schurter), there is no info about the 9 pin connector, but the 8 pin version looks exactly the same as yours without the extra pin, so the 9 pin one might be ok spacing seems about right (I think).
ta - found the farnell part ya mention but bottom two rows are closer together than top two rows also three of the cards sockets are denser packed than otheres. Have thought about the butchery option but will wait for 30 days warranty to expire first
Looks quite similar in pin spacing (obviously one pin is missing), and that pin second from right in the middle row seems in the correct position (more to the left than would be expected in a symmetrical version), but the datasheet has no image of the 9-pin version
Thats different from the 9-pin I found in Farnells Cat - it had pins symetrical but larger gap getween top and middle row than middle and bottom Probably get on in in case it is "persuadble using expert modding techniques AKA brute force
what about buying a 98 pin and drill out an extra hole for another pin? what is the plug for anyway? if it is there it is pretty obvious that something is going to be plugged in... but what... that equipment must have such plug... mabye you could get some of that and hack of a plug...
That's the VIVO connector, it connects to a breakout box that has a set of composite and S-video inputs and outputs.
