Girls are prone to doing it. Celebrities, even more so. No idea why they do it, seems idiotic and vain to me.
She was probably not sending them to anyone. The last famous person this happened to was Vanessa Hudgens, and her phone was either hacked or stolen with the pics on it.
The tape will undoubtedly not happen now. AFAIK she'll be a bit embarassed that this happened and will probably be very careful from now on.
