    Hi all,

I'm after two GPU blocks for my 4870X2. At the moment I'm weighing up the Swiftech MCW-60 rev.2 and the D-Tek Fuzion GFX 2. My questions are:

    (1) Does the GFX 2 fit the 4870X2, since the 4870X2 isn't included on it's compatibility list, but the 3870X2 is.

    (2) If it does fit, which am I best getting, two Swiftechs or two D-Teks?

    Many thanks

I had a Swiftech MCW-60 on my (very) old 7800GTX and it was awesome. Very easy to work with and the low profile was nice.

    Doggeh.

I would always recommend a full cover block if you have the budget for it tbh.

But if you want to go the other route then i would recommend the swiftech with the Caldera heatsink with 2 x MCW60.

Yeh I got the EK full cover block and it fried my card :( so in order to maximise working of graphics card, am thinking two gpu-only blocks would be better? Also they're universal (easier to sell or transfer). Just wondering whether copper ramsinks are sufficient for the ram vrms etc.

    Eeek not good :s

The ram sinks would do the trick but you would probably want a fan blowing over them just to be sure

Yeh mega-eekage :sigh: had an interesting sound a bit like a grasshopper, a few mins of corruption, then the black screen of death. I imagine another full cover block such as the XSPC or just another EK would work, but its a gamble, two RMAs will look bad :)

Anyone know if the D-Tek will fit?

Ok, I thinking of getting two Swiftech MCW60s and the Swiftech Caldera heatsink. Cheaper and easier than getting separate ramsinks (though it is only aluminium) and uses stock backplate. Any recommendations, etc before I buy? :)

TBH thats what i would go for if your going core only as it saves alot of messing about. :)
