I'm looking for small and nice on/off switch, not momentary, the one that will turn loop of leds in my case - I think its called latch or sth I don't want to use vandal switches, they too big. I need something like these, but these are momentary. I want them to be small - kinda micro-switches - sth like in phone set. I hope you know what I mean.... Where could I buy this kind of switches? In UK???
Great, thanks. Can you tell me what is the size of it? overall? what should I add - buttom size, bush and body? dont get it..
Panel cut-out: 62mm Bush length: 85mm Body size (excl tags): 175 x 82 x 13mm Button size: 8.5 x 10mm diameter exactly this part is unclear... so what is overall length of that switch? what is tag, bush? So body is the part below button, right? So it is: button8.5mm + body 17.5mm + those tags (which I think they might be those small metal part that you solder cables to, right?) Should I add bush length?
Slightly off topic, but if you were to use a non-momentary switch for your power button on your comp, what would happen? (i assume that momentary means it pops back out like all pc case switches are usually). Would it just act like if you held the power button down (i.e. off after 4 secs)? Or could you set it up to shutdown the comp as normal? As far as i remember, there are only two power options in my BIOS - one for 4 seconds, and one for instant...
in q&a tab on maplins link: Q) Please can you confirm the dimensions as it is listed as a miniture switch but the dimensions make out that it is 17.5cm by 8.2cm and with a panel cut out of over 6cm? - Rich A) the decimal point has been missed out, it should reed 17.5mm 8.2mm and 13mm cut out is 6.2mm and bush length is 8.5mm Q) It says rated as 3A/240v, but can this be used for 12V in a model railway? - Tim Blazey A) Yes the product does support that.

that's all fine, but I still do not know what is what - bush, tag... SHould I just add them all together?
