I've recently purchased myself a lovely new PNY GTX 570 and as I'm currently an ATI man(running a 4850) and I'm switching to the green team now I've a quick question. What is the best way to 100% completely eliminate my ATI drivers from my system before I install my new card. Just wondering wither its gona be best to completely reinstall windows or just try and get rid of them from this current install? Cheers
Download Driver Sweeper here, and remove the ati drivers. I would run it in safe mode too, just in case. Never had any issues. I think most guys would recommend it.
Don't you just hate waiting for new stuff! lol Keep that driver sweeper safe. It also works for nvidia drivers. You actually select which driver type (ati or nvidia) you would like to remove.
Yea im gona boot up in safe mode once it arrives, remove the ATI drivers then get started with the lovely card. Handy that It can remove both gona remove some old ATI drivers on my brothers pc as he's getting the old 4850
Hey don't be nasty lol. My main card is a 4850. Its still a good card.. *eyes up the Gigabyte Gtx460....hello my pretty....*
if you are running windows 7, there really isn't any side effects of leaving your old driver there. i switched between companies many times, gtx260 to 5870 to gtx580, old driver stayed without any problem
