Is there a simple way (in Windows XP) to change the 'Sound playback' and 'Sound recording' options with a simple keypress? Right now, I have to do this if I want to go from speakers (Audigy) to headset (onboard):

Start > Control Panel > Sound, Speech, and Audio Devices > Sound and Audio Devices > Audio [tab] > Sound Playback default device audigy/nforce > Sound recording device augidy/nforce

    Quite tiresome.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Do what i do. I went to radioshack and got an adapter to plug both my speakers and headphones in to the same jack. All i do when i want speakers is turn on speakers. When i want headphones i turn on the headphones. When i want both i turn on both. Everything will sound better to when you use the audigy instead of that onboard crap.

Yes, that woudl work, and I have one of the jobbies, but that would cause some problems. In certain new games (Far Cry, Doom 3, etc), they actually use 5.1. If I had both of my audio outputs (5.1 and 2 channel) plugged into, and configured as, 5.1, they wouldn't work. I have tested this with headphones in Far Cry, and it is horrible. I don't really care about sound quality when using my headphones, so I need a way to switch everything at once.
