Cooling SYS Temp ***TOO HIGH***

    System Info:
    AMD Athlon 2400+XP
    MSI K7N2 Delta Motherboard
    Radeon 9600 PRO 256MB
    512MB RAM

    CPU Temp: 35-39C
    SYS Temp: 39-41C

    My SYS Temp. is always higher than my CPU Temp. and I heard it should be lower than the CPU Temp.

    I need help getting it below the CPU Temp cuz everytime I play games my computer either reboots or game just crashes without error or sometimes with an error and its kicking me in the arse >_< please help me!

    What kind of case cooling do you have? Are those temp ranges during idle? What case do you have? I think we need some info to find out what the problem is.

    Oh, and case temp doesn't necessarily have to be lower than your CPU temp.

    Umm, just out of pure curiosity is your mobo a gigabyte? I know that my gigabyte mobo reports those same temps (sometimes higher) even when I run it caseless! The temp sensors are fubared on a lot of gigabyte boards (I've found a lot of people have this same problem). So just set your bios temp red-line to a higher value and don't worry about it. Those temps look fine :thumb:

    Those temps shoouldn't be high enough to cause your pc to reboot. What software are you using to read the temps?

    Case temp is often the northbridge temp so could explain the higher temperature.

    Some more info about your case airflow might be useful. A picture if [possible would be best.
