System Idle Process is a place holder. When your computer isn't using resources they show as System Idle Process. If it is at 95%, then 95% of your computer isn't doing anything...it's idle. And it should be. Perfectly normal.

As for the slowing down, checked for spyware and virii?

if the system idle is there to say that the machine is not doin anythin why is it when my system is idleing that much that the systems seems to slow down like its under full load an takes time to carry out instructions?????

something must be runnin in the background or sumthin is up?? but i donno what??

Idle process = stop states, so maybe it takes time to find it on the disk or something? If it's running itll show up in task manager.
