    Hi,

    First post !!

I'm buying a new PC and have narrowed down to two options. I'm after peoples opinions on should I spend a bit more to get a better set of components?

    Option1:

    Intel i3820
    nVidea GTX680

    Option2:

    Intel i3930k @ 3.9
    nVidea GTX690

    Standard across both systems:

    16GB 1600 quad channel RAM
    256 SSD Drive
    1 TB SATA HHD
    Windows 7

Cost between option 1 and 2 is £375

    Appreciate people thoughts

    Thanks

Seems stupid to pair an i3 with a gtx 680 ....as GB said what are you using it for, with those GPU's my first guess is gaming...

    I present Option 3!

x2 Asus GTX 670 Direct CU II in SLI

Lower cost than a GTX 690 and more effective, just get a motherboard with decent spacing for SLI cooling! :thumb:

Agree with the awesome Blogins ;)

But also, what are you cooling with and what OC do you want? Imo it would be silly to go LGA2011 and not go 6-core if you can afford it.

Option 4: i5 3570K. Half the price for almost the same performance.

    Option 4:

Really depends if this is only for gaming or if you intend to do something more demanding that requires all that equipment but...

    A nice custom cooler 670
    i5 3570k
    8gb Ram
    A trip to Amsterdam
