Somehow or another my system tray got disabled. The icons aren't just hidden. When I go to Taskbar and Start Menu Properties, "Hide inactive icons" is greyed out. Did I maybe disable a service or something?

    did you try a reboot?
(sorry if it sounds stupid, but i gottta ask)

not running a dock program or object bar maybe? something that would alter the windows taskbar/systray?

    Yes, I did reboot.

I am running Y'z Dock. This has never happened to me before. Recently, I screwed something up and had to reinstall Windows. After I first installed it, it worked fine, but I noticed later after I had downloaded some stuff it dissapeared. I know that I should try uninstalling the apps and see if that fixes it, but I was just checking to make sure there wasn't a setting or something, first.

I can't find anything like that in the options. Plus when I close the dock, systray is still gone.
I remember a process called systray.exe, or is that not in XP? I don't have that process running...is there some way that I turned it off?
