Well I'd have to vote for the metallic blue...with some blue CC's/LEDs inside...feel the blueness :D

i say keep it as authentic looking as possible even down to the dirt and weather-beaten look of the one from the series. even look around how to do pulsing red LED circuit for the lamp on top..... make the windows frosted acrylic and put some white CCFL lights inside so it looks like its lit from the inside. this could look so cool if you take your yime on it. looking forward to seeing it.

    alreet m8 its me Fu

great idea, im loving it already and i know ur gunna do a great job what ever u decide on the colour issue
but imho i would go with the anodised blue as it wud look the nuts
also polised ally wud look awesome kind of like the pewter figures u get of star wars characters and the like
doing an exact replica is the proper thing to do but i dont think it wud be right for the look of the finished project
the option u choose at the end of the day is the right 1 cos its ur baby
GL and i'll be watchin closely

just a small update , unfortunately my brother can not get the frame welded :sigh: , so i am looking for a other place that can weld the frame for me , it was suggested that i rivet the frame together !! . no way i say .

i have been looking about for other ideas to help me with this project and after scouring the forums i have some nice ideas up my sleeve :D .

instead if having a pulsing white , how about connecting it to the IDE line ?
i have also seen peeps printing there own labels with transparent sheet , any one know what and were i can get this in the UK ?

hopefully i will have a proper update by the end of the week ...

did any one watch Dr who last night ? ...... WOW is all i can say :jawdrop: :naughty: :D

    Yup! Twas pretty amazing.
I wonder..what "big" enemies does the doctor have left? It will soon be boring if they contsntly bring back the cybermen and daleks..unless they create new enemies..sigh

I'm wanting to know the exact same thing - I've tried looking and the best I came up with was either small labels that are transparent (and can be printed on), or Overhead Projector transparencies. Both available from PC World.

You could look at getting them printed on Vinyl?

perhaps Lazlow ... good idea that way it will be done correct ...

i have been doing some thinking today with my hangover :) , i think i will also mod both my monitors with the Dr who theme , at least i can crack on with that part of the mod ...

so back to my question shall i paint the alu tardis , or polish all the alu , it will be pretty blingage like but part of wants it blue ? . i have been practicing polishing some of the alu bars , i will post up some pics of the practice soon and we can all see what ones look best ...

    Scott

p.s also yesterday one crucial part arrived :D , i am now the proud owner of a fully boxed and legit windows xp pro ..... for free :D .. the only people i can say ty to is Microsoft for the free sample , this is going to be fun . i can now update without and problems now ... ty ( you know who you are  )

    Have you considered blue powdercoat?

OT: has anyone got any plans (drawings) for K-9 from the Tom Baker era.

i think a K-9 case would make a great custom case.

Being the "Dutch bloke" that built the wooden tardis, all i can give you is two thumbs up! :thumb: :thumb:

Excellent idea to build it out of aluminum, looking forward to the result (there can never be enough tardisses in the world after all... :D )

My Tardis is still doing fine, even though the proc cooler died on me and took the proc with it... :sigh:
A new proc took care of that though, and its friendly humming accompanies me again... :)
