I wonder how much the opensourceness of the OS sheds off the price of the aperatus. Well at least its easy to tinker with. Thanks to that, a whole load of functionality will be brought to the devices easily.

Looks like crap honestly, and the UI (and browser) is clunky and slow from the videos I've seen. :(

Looks interesting, I may need to look at one of these, but on the other hand I REALLY want to get off T-Mobile

Anyone know if there's another multi-touch phone available? As far as I'm concerened that's the best selling point for the iphone, that and sheer sexyness ;)

I'm waiting on the release of the Glofiish DX900 dual sim Win Mobile 6 PDA phone.
Since being issued with a company mobile I've been looking for a good quality dual sim phone, so far that's the only one that's caught my interest.

I must admit I do like the look of the Google Phone.

Ditto, I don't know how bad they are in your neck of the woods but they're terrible here

Only 24 letters left to add on to the beginning of -phone, manufacturers might have to start coming up with original names soon!

and stop using i FFS! iphone, ipod, iplayer, itune, and and many other in Appstore.

the OS needs more polish, from what i've read, Copy+Paste is wonderful, the pull-down status bar is a great idea. other than that, Apple iPhone still has a better overall OS.

... thats an interesting way of putting it :)

Looks like a nice device though.
The opensourceness should allow it to evolve and improve much faster than the iphone. Gonna be keeping an eye on this :)

It's pretty ugly, in my opinion.

Price is right, though. I hope that it will be completely open for customization, not just apps and such.

The phone looks cheap and uncomfortable to me.

This article from the BBC says just T-mobile. And £40 a month... although that's with the phone free, there's no mention of if it's available on cheaper contracts.

The bottom section for the buttons makes it look a little strange, probably because the buttons are so small and there's a lot of empty space. Personally, i think they should have put bigger buttons in. I like the slide-out keyboard though - great for those of us who use full words and sentences in our texts!

By the time I get sick of my new phone this should be mature enough that I can get it on whatever phone I want. I certainly don't want to go to T mobile.

Quite simply it's not as cool as the iPhone. It's an imitaror, not an innovator. It doesn't look as good and won't get the excitement or mainstream attention of the Apple equivalent.

    Ahem correction is in order.

"along with a complete lack of cut and paste functionality -" From your article is completely incorrect it has full cut copy and paste available a couple different ways through shortcuts and menus. If you don't believe me just download the manual. :) Along with a good complete manual they included some humor many of us technophiles appreciate. Have a great day...
