I have a Ainol 10 tablet that will no longer charge. The charger checks out OK and it seems to be a dry joint on the socket as it sometimes works if wiggled about. The socket is not on the motherboard but a small separate board, I have tried to find a replacement on the net but no joy.Not worth taking to a repair shop and beyond my soldering capabilities. I wondered if it would be possible to just send the board to someone to resolder it at a reasonable cost but I do not know of anywhere. Can anyone help please.
I thought that the socket on my Nexus 4 was dodgy... maybe it is slightly, but it turns out that it's heavily dependent on the micro-USB lead I use. Some dodgy ones take a bit of wiggling, but others are fine. So I suggest you try a new lead.
Thanks, I have tried another lead but just the same. Fairly sure it is a dry joint but getting worse.
