Hmm, assuming they actually ventilate the airplanes better than regular ones are - this could be far preferable to flying on regular airlines. Personally I'd much prefer the smell of tobacco smoke for 3 hours then a cold or some other miscellanious illness which all get transmitted far more on airplanes since they banned smoking.
I agree that normal planes aren't vented enough for comfort, but tobacco smoke is just so foul that I couldn't cope with this for more than 5 minutes, let alone a long-haul flight.
They're not vented enough to prevent colds and any other airborne infection travelling around the cabin easily. They were back in the days of smoking on planes so that not everyone had to breath in smoke the whole journey, but they got rid of smoking so that they could turn the air conditioning down, save a few bob - and the only downside is that their customers are far more likley to get stick while flying, but that's no big deal I guess.
I like the idea of a luxury airline, but I dislike the idea of essentially inviting everyone on the plane to smoke. I'm also amazed the founder has not died from lung cancer. . . L J
I find the idea to be quite absurd. I mean, short-term appeal is understandable, but how is this going to last long-term?
Not to mention the safety concerns of 138 lit cigarettes 30,000 feet off the ground. Proof if any were needed that smokers are the most addicted to their drug of choice
Well, I think it's a decent option that like long, expensive suicide. You won't see me flying their airlines, but I see no reason that it shouldn't be an option when everyone else on the plane has no issue with inhaling the gray death. Except how ludicrously expensive it is. That is *not* going to work in their favor.
Maybe it's just me, but the fact that he has no planes is going to be a real showstopper for his airline !
Thats the thing, i smoke, and i usually only take long haul flights. Im not a heavy smoker more like 5-a-day but during a 10hour flight the craving does kick in. This seem like a good idea but i dont see it going very far.
I used to be a big smoker, but have recently cut down to smoking when with certian friends. The idea of sparking up in flight is a good idea, but TBH €6500 whos going to unless your a business customer or very wealthy. Can you imagine it: Employee: Boss need to got ot shanghai! Boss: Book a ticket and charge it to the company Employee: Ok Smintair it is, ,€10000 ok? Boss: What the £$£% Employee: Ok then i'll go 1st class €6500 ok? Boss: Um.... think not go British Airways! Regards GiGo
It is a great idea from the perspective that it is quite likely to kill 138 smokers at a time in a huge fireball Anything that wipes out smokers en masse and quickly should be helped to fruition Lung cancer and heart disease are just too slow!
