Photos Taken in search of a POTM...

    Lengthening of the Shadows

    A somewhat gloomy picture about death and old age... Eventually the shadows lengthen, and darkness looms ahead for everyone. We strain to hear noises in the night and project our worst fears on them. Fear not. It is the darkest, coldest night that has the most beautiful stars...

    Considered for this months POTM ("Seasons"), but in the end I went with River of Life. :)

    The shadows are nice but I feel the overexposed nature of the top half spoils it.

    Yeah, that's partly why it is not a POTM entry. I should have bracketed the shot perhaps, but that's not easy without a tripod, and the lady wasn't posing (just a lucky shot as she walked past). I did not have a graduated ND filter either... There are only so many things you can do in Photoshop. In the end, I decided to leave it as is.

    I'm really not getting that from the photo. Seems like a bit of a wonky snapshot unfortunately. :(
