I've got an image of a tribal cross that I'm considering having tattooed or branded onto my back, but would like to get an idea how it will look first. Can anybody suggest a way to get the image transfered from the A4 sheets that its printed on, onto my back to see what it will look like??

    Cheers,

get someone to airbrush it on?
cover the area in wet ink and then slap it on... and see?

Get some hectograph paper, securely attach it to a piece of quality tracing paper.

Draw the template with a biro, press down hard but don't rip the paper.

Remove hectograph paper - throw it away unless you're going to reuse it soon. The ink gets everywhere.

I use hibiscrub antibacterial soap to transfer the ink - if you rub it onto the skin, it leaves it with a gummy feeling, and should take the ink well. Other than that, you can use dettol (works quite well), deodorant stick (doesn't work well) or water.

Apply your tracing paper stencil to the treated area of skin. Press down firmly, and make sure the area isn't too moist, or the ink will run. Gently pull away the tracing paper, and pat down the fresh stencil with a bit of kitchen paper.

The stencil will stay pretty clear for about a day, and will gradually fade over the next week. You can scrub it off, but it takes a heck of a lot of scrubbing.

Mmmmm, computer-age???? Get someone to make a picture of you and photoshop the tattoo on the picture.

    Worked fine for me.

i'd go with the laser printer temporary tattoo paper, or go bite the bullet and get it done anyway.
