Many moons ago when i was 13, a Tattoo parlour opened its alluring doors unfortunately for me on my route to school.........

I think it was £1 dinner money in those days so after the 10x No6 there wasn't much left but for some reason i was intrigued by the whole thing and looking back (not one of my better decisions) i decided to forgo the 10 ciggys (not to mention lunch) and embark into the muddy world of Tattooing.

It cost me a grand total of 50p but that was small change in comparison to the elation i got from my school friends but then inevitably a teacher saw it and consequently a couple of days after that i felt the wroth of my dad's rather large hand around my lug at full speed :duh:

Pretty much ever since i wore a watch over it to hide the un artistic talents of the idiot that decided to call himself a Tattooist and pray on young school kids for a living.

Anyway a small company opened in Newcastle a couple of years ago called Laserase so i decided to give them a go.............

OK it was expensive at £50 a session........made more poinient when the girl told me it would be 8 to 12 goes (8 to 12 goes = 400 to 600 quid) and even then there is no guarantee that it will be completely removed

I hasten to add that Laserase went from strength to strength and now not only charging £65 per session also have more strings to the bow in the shape of other cosmetic surgery and have a growing number of outlets around the country (what a business) but I would recommend them totally if anyone may have an embarrassing tattoo from their youth like me and want rid

Having said that I went on to have a full leg and arm tattooed at a latter date from people that were prepared to give good advice………..like don’t have anything that can be seen wearing clothes

Anyway here’s a pic of my rather expensive and very painful tattoo removal after 5 goes at Laserase ……………this was about 3 hours ago.

/………..its now standing me at £300.50p and a whole lot of pain and discomfort yes it hurts more getting them off than putting them on………….and that’s not just in the pocket

Just thought I would share that little misadventure in my life

What was it, chap? Looks like either a pair of sperms, or a couple of roses...

You could've just gotten it covered, would have worked out much cheaper, and much more attractive (imo!). Laser treatment has come leaps and bounds over the last couple of years. Good luck in getting your arm back :>

The wife of the shop owner where I get inked and pierced has just started her own treatment centre...She tattoos over the tattoo with a special compound and places a bandage over it. After a certain amount of time, the bandage is removed and a lot of the pigment comes with it. It takes a few applications but is a lot cheaper than laser removal and nowhere near as expensive (or painful).

Of the three results I've seen, two were completely gone and one (after only one session) was half gone.
