For Tea, Glengettie or Thompsons - both teas made for the very soft Welsh water. For instant coffee, L'Or or Douwe Egberts. For "proper" coffee, it's whatever Coal Town are roasting
I used to be a coffee snob, now I'm turning into a tea snob, but in general if I'm making fresh, I'm doing pour-over and it's usually Coal Town Coffee from down the road from me (reminds me I need a re-up on their standard beans,) else it's just whatever else I can get with no real care for whatever. However after being introduced to gongfu tea over Xmas I'm definitely going to be picking up some stuff for my birthday at the end of the month, so I'll be interested to hear any recommendations that would suit that style of brewing.
Right?! There's a Coal Town coffee shop attached to the local Co-Op. Used to go to the mothership every Sunday while the folks were at church. Was great
Tea: Rooibos. Got a taste for it on a work trip to South Africa. I make it a point not to have caffeine for at least the first 2 hours after waking so this certainly helps! Coffee: Any old gold blend and made very strong, black, two sugars. Purely medicinal.
Today ive mostly been drinking Cup of soups. So far had 4 different ones. Working in a warehouse with no heating at its - numbers so decided its soup time
I just drink this, frankly I drink loads of coffee but I just never got into good coffee. Hell, I don't even stir it, just pour some granules in then fill it with water and rely upon the mechanical force of the water to do the rest.
Tea is either Tesco Decaf, Rooibos, or Lidl Earl Grey (the former surprised me as its actually ok). Coffee is much more varied as whilst I like a "proper" coffee vie either Bean to cup or using a manual grinder and over the cup dripper (nothing fancy but our Philips bean to cup machine broke so this was a cheap replacement), I also quite like the Lyons sachet stuff we can get for £1 (12 sachets) in Proper Job.
