Pretty much the same here, but I'd go to carbonated early death before tea unless I really have a hankering for it..

If I'm out however, it's either tripple espressos, mint choc chip frapachino, or just cola (pepsi or coke depending where I'm at..)

Just this morning I've started keeping a coffee diary. With tasting notes, ideal grinds, timings etc.
I ground a particular coffee at '6' and then remembered, while drinking a slightly powdery cup, that this particular bean prefers 4.5/5

Yes, I'm sad. But the first step is admitting it

Wrong there, Coffee is superb for dunking ANZACs.
By the way, I'm not talking about the store-bought junk, they're soft, home-made biscuits have a tendency to go rock-solid.

where is the option for both? there is neither, but what about us caffeine junkies that like it both ways?

1: full pot medium brewed maxwell house french roast (in my trusty 7 year old Bunn) - divided into 2 20oz thermal-y mugs, 1 oz sugar and splash of 2% each.
every morning. 365.25 days a year. unless i'm dying.

2: at work - after 2nd cup is finished, i either make tea, or get a pepsi out the machine. work coffee = turpentine.

3: home for lunch, make a fresh 20 oz cup for the afternoon.

    4: repeat #2.

5: usually make a 4th (or 5th , depending) after dinner to aid the digestion. sometimes this is green tea, or a white tea w/ tangerine, or bag chai. depends on the mood i'm in.

if i'm out, and getting a coffee, 99.8% of the time it will be a quad caramel cappuccino. big cup, 4 shots, always free poured. if it's that place with the green sign - exactly 5 pumps of the syrup. no more, no less.

my usual tea blends are twinnings earl grey, irish breakfast (a bit more bite than the english), or gunpowder green. in the tin, please. bags = poop tea.
only white i really like is the Bigelow white w/ tangerine.

    :duh:

Of course - Hot chocolate! That's gotta be a contender. Awesome stuff, especially when piled high with cream, marshmallows, flakes, sprinkles...etc...etc

    *drool*

Although chocolate milk is much better, has a creamier flavour than the water stuff, but milk (no water) with hot chocolate power is horrible cos of the extra condensed milk powder or whatever they have in it, makes it too milky.

If anyones ever in France, pick up some Bananania, best choc milk EVAR!

I believe that’s no longer referred to as a drink but a snack. And hence no longer a contender in the best hot drink search

Coffee lover here. Always has to be with full fat milk as well, none of this "semi-skimmed" milk for me.

I mean come on, full fat is only 4% fat so it's not that bad for you in moderation.

Sometimes though, I do have cream in my fresh columbian coffee if I need a treat.

Can we remove the coffee votes of anyone who declares love for anything but black coffee? A double frap wankachino with extra mochajuice is not fricking coffee, it's 7 types of syrup with some kenco in it.

    XDD

But only black coffee? Surely even you drink a café au lait occasionally

Never! It's a drink. We don't do the PC "this king size mars is for sharing" crap, we're fat *******s and we eat it all ourselves.

Glad someone else agrees with me. Best hot chocolate I EVER had was when I was in Belgium in June.. what those Belgians can do with chocolate.. what girl can resist!

No. Never. I don't pour coca cola in my coffee either. Funny that. I guess I just like the taste of what I drink and don't need to mask it with as many different flavours as possible in order that I can't taste the (intended) main ingredient.

Milk is hardly an extra flavour, more a dilutant if you don't want such a strong flavour.

And there are so many different flavours of coffee out there, theres no need to put anything in it if you don't like the taste, just try another one. (I'm not talking about artificially flavoured beans, I mean the natural un-mucked-with flavours)

for instance, the coffee I'm sipping right now has some lovely chocolatey tones, but still actually tastes like coffee.
