He always loved winding me up, and I loved reporting dicks in his galleries. This is saddening news, may he forgive me on that side and send a guide, as it gets grim here.
Since I don't know Tel very well, I'm in shock that he was that ill. From all of his posts, he comes off as a nice guy to me. Rest in Peace, Tel. Hope you're watching us from wherever you are!
Damn, and I was wondering why I haven't seen him on Steam in the last months. "Last online: 80 days ago."
I don't normally post in RIP threads as i have a tendency of causing unintentional offense but the need to pay my respects have won out over any anxiety issues. I'm going to miss you Teelzebub.
Oh man Only just come across this thread. I remember Teel (AKA Bumsrush when he first came on here) helping me out when trying to find some 480s to buy, as well as some PMs later on about how they were performing. Always pleasant and funny and good at winding up the people who needed winding up! One of the Bit Techers I had always hoped to meet in a pub one day. His contribution to me was a four way SLI bridge. It's nice to know I have a bit of Teel in my rig now! Truly upset to hear he's gone. I always thought that he would last for ever on the forums. Please give my (well, our) condolences to his family.
Back when I was assembling my rig, 5 years ago, he proposed his help to forward a parcel from UK to Canada (A Coolermaster Wind Rider PWN fan hub, I'm still using it). I was quite thrilled about the experience and thought '' I'll stick around, those brits are cool ''.
Sad news indeed. RIP. Although my interactions with him were brief I recognised his sharp sense of humour and learned to roll with it. He seemed like a genuine person, not afraid to speak his mind but also ready to listen. The forums have become a little darker again, but then again he would probably have liked it that way.
Damn that sucks Teel was great. He gave me 3 sets of mobo mount screws in different sizes and colors. He was one of the greats, posting on this forum. Always a good laugh. Cheers Terry and thanks for everything.
I've been in touch with the family and they'd like you to know how much they appreciate your kind words and fond memories of Terry. Although Terry did have CPOD he caught Pneumonia at New Year and was taken away from his family earlier than expected so I'm sure you can appreciate they are finding this very difficult to deal with. Regarding your kind offers of donations, they would be much appreciated and I know Terry would be very pleased by such a gesture too. If you'd like to send them to Paypal at InMemoryofTeelzebub@gmail.com and when Terry's Missus is feeling better able to deal with things she can decide where to distribute the money (funeral costs or animal charities or whatever she thinks Terry would approve of).
Absolutely gutted. I knew he was ill but I didn't see this coming so early. Not been on for a few days. RIP Tel. Sorry to say mate you haven't gone the direction you expected !
Sorry to hear about this; I didn't know Teelzebub very well, but he sent me a dvd of allegro non troppo after it came up in the 'guess the film' thread a few years back (still on the shelf next to me) and he seemed like a thoroughly pleasant and genuine guy when we talked. RIP.
What?! I just found it out here! F*** s****... I'm gutted, I didn't realise it was so bad.. Few months ago Terry made aluminium feet for my latest project. He was always helpful. And funny too, his funny jokes or sarcastic posts always made me laugh. Another great modder out. RIP Tel...
