Does anyone know what i would connect to this header to get a temperature reading for the inside of the case?

It is described in the manual as a "Power Supply thermal connector" and is a 2 pin connector, one pin labeled "TRPWR" and the other is a ground.

I am asuming some type of thermistor or thermal diode is connected to this but was wonderinf if anyone had any clueas about what as i would like a sensor to measure case ambient.

    Thnaks.

Yep, just wire up a 10k thermister. Its wired to the Winbond3 sensor btw

So i just connect that across the two pins?

I suppose you calibrate in software?

I had a look through the datasheet for the winbond chip and found.

    The thermister i need is a 10k @ 25C and with a B value of 3435.

The problem with this is there is absolutely nowhere in Australia that has a thermistor with these specs Radio Shack does but that is in the US.

I found this http://www.users.tpg.com.au/pschamb/a7v.html which explains how to use another thermistor to attain accurate values but it requires the knowlege of the thermistors resistance at 50C which the only thermister i can obtain ( this)
does not state the resistance at 50C.

Is there a way to calculate the resistance from the B value?

    thanks
