Electronics Temperature dial..

    I have one of these:

    now.. what i want to do is mod those meters.. like how could i make them move to the music/sound volume.. or even mod them for any use. other than temps such as.. Hard Drive Activity!!

    How should i rewire it to allow me to get the harddrive activity displayed by the stick thing..

    thats a good question, how WOULD you go about monitoring hdd activity with an analog display meter?

    gotta run...but I'm pretty sure this could be used... will discuss later.

    I have somthing laying about that will allow you to use it as a VU (Sound) meter, but no time to sort it out atm.

    we havent learnt about op amps in class yet : D
    gimme a couple more weeks an i might be able to work that one out

    What you are talking about is pretty much the same (infact the dials are exactly the same) as the coolermaster musketeer II, so if you search the web on how its made, theres your guide really. You could try contacting coolermaster too.
