 Thanks, and I agree! I've been sidetracked a lot since October. The exposed fans on top are getting on my nerves.

    Duct season!

 Thanks Editor and rgrande. -Sorry I was too busy to notice the bumps.
I've been doing tiny bits of work here and there, but only recently had enough material to do an update.
-This ugly critter is the MDF mold I put together. I ruined about six of these stupid profiles while cutting because they liked to break free during milling.
-I tried to boil the part to bend it first. I found that it stayed too rubbery to bend properly, so I went for something a little hotter. Ten minutes in the oven at 300 degrees worked pretty well.
-The part that didn't work very well was my clamping setup. It slipped a little while in the oven. -Close enough.
-I have all but one of the pipes sanded and re-lacquered. The fact that I have de/re-soldered these sections at least three times has taken it's toll. I can't get them as pretty as they were originally. Here I'm covering over the charred lacquer I can't get out of the grooves.
-I found the best way to do this was after I applied the lacquer. To remove the excess black, I soaked a bit of paper with mineral spirits, and used it like fine-grit sandpaper.
-I had to sand two of the fins down to fit in the brackets. The sheet they came from was much thicker than the others.
-The fins glued in place. -Drip some solvent in the groove, hold fin in place for 10 seconds, repeat.
-Here's the box right after gluing.
    -Chopping off the excess.
-The last section I had to shape with a sanding block. Get all the free mousepads you can get your hands on. They really can be useful.:D
    [IMG]
-And here's the radiator cover assembly. All it needs now is a paper cutout of Adam West sticking out of it.

I'm nearly done. I just need to clean up, (and out,) that one length of tubing, polish up the rad cover, and re-plumb the hoses. See you in December!:hehe:

Thanks again to Danger Den. They sure are getting a lot of mileage with their donation.:D

I just made it all the way through all 47 pages! I love watching the progress and the advancement of skill, part placement and presentation. And I <3 copper. I see you are as generous with your painters tape as I am in projects. :)

Also this project need bunnies and cheese.

Out of curiosity, who has the longest running project?

    Glad you liked it.:D
-I've never had to pay for painter's tape, and most of the stuff I used this time was plastered on my mirror after being used on a previous project.
-Longest completed project? Most of the really long ones never finish.
    *cough*Langer*cough.

    Done! ...again!

Alrighty! These are final pics unless I get the time to take the rig outside. They came out really bad despite being twice the resolution of the older pics. I seem to remember having this problem with the blue plastic only after I take the pictures.
-I used every loose lamp in the house, and I still get artsy pics.
-Flash picks up all the shiny spots and dust. I can't win.
-I forgot to paint "DustBuster" on the side of the new duct. From the side it looks like I added a Robin Hood cap to the case.:eyebrow:
-I need to find some light colored sheets for next time too.
    -"feed me fingers!"
    -Booty shot.
-Oh, hey! I see a spot that didn't get dusted.:hehe: If it wasn't for the flash, you wouldn't see the chaos that's going on inside.
-I remembered to put the wiring cover on before I plumbed this time. -Not that you can see it here. The stuff it's hiding is more visible here. The hoses didn't look that different when I was plumbing too. fudge.

So that's It. I can clean up all the Bloo-related mess and get back to GG. I hope you enjoyed the ride.
...and remember kids: Don't skimp on the radiator, or someday you will have to re-build like Uncle Cheaps.

Thanks one last time to Danger Den.

    It looks store-bought!

This is one of the best mods I've ever seen. Maybe because I've been following through the years and It was probably the first mod I really followed in here... :) Nevermind that, it's just amazing! :thumb:
