hi, i just bought this sound card to go with my speedlink medusa 5.1 headset, problem is the centre/sub wont work front and rear are fine, i set it up as the manual said but arghhhh still wont work! anyone got any ideas?? I just want it to work
Tried checking in the driver settings? A lot of audio devices will allow you to select which mode the card is in, e.g. 5.1, 2.1, etc.
It'll be your drivers or codecs you install. I had the same problem when i used my exitigy with it's drivers and tried setting it to 5.1, it would work ocassionally and would work until i installed another sound codec, which was inevitable. Now i just use it as an AMP an use onboard Intel Azalia to output dolby 5.1 through AC3, which is ALWAYS 5.1. 'fraid you're probably stuffed unless you find another driver to sucessfully upmix all audio sources into 5.1
well im stupid it says in the manual to set some jumpers on the card but it doesnt say which way round until you read the manual on the disk! took me ages to figure out what it was trying to tell me so its working but its not as good or as loud as i wanted my advice - dont buy this soundcard! anyway as always thanks for the help its really appreciated
