Maybe they should have made the whole bloody game free.... that would have been better.

I still have the the original TDU and that is far from stable. Online was hit and miss, because of the matching system it was almost impossible to be on the same server as your friends.

 

I wouldnt mind any of those issues much if they had good driving physics.
oh well, guess i'll have to stick with micro machines for now.

 

Is this the result of the Spin-machine? I could have sworn free DLC used to be called a patch...

 

It was going to be paid-for DLC, now it's not, that's the difference.

I'm actually really enjoying this game. The servers are up all the time and I can always connect. I can see and race other players with no problems. The driving is great if you put it into hardcore mode and tweak the sensitivity/deadzone settings. It's not super-realistic, but it feels dynamic and involving, as well as being fairly challenging at times. Oh, don't forget to turn force feedback right up as well.

Granted, the voice acting is terrible and the story is pointless, but they're just fluff on top of the actual game, which IS a lot of fun, especially if you're playing with friends.

Good on Eden for listening to the community and addressing all the issues as fast as they can. I imagine there's a massive pack of cars coming for this game just like in the first one...

 

I only started playing online 2 days ago... I had it for a week, had to play offline, the stupid savedgame got corrupted... Contacted Atari, that didn't solve anything... I solved thngs using the Steam Forums and their own TDU2 Forums.

The game HAD potencial, but I lost my interest in it, I'll wait a month before I play it again, it reallt demotivated me to play it...

 

Did they not used to be referred to as 'patches'?.......

 

I think nostalgie clouds your memory. Yes, patches did occasionally add some new content, but not more often than today. As a matter of fact, i think free content updates might be more common today than earlier. The way i see it, DLC replaces Expansion Packs.

 

Not to look a free gift horse int he mouth....but.

2 Cars, 2 measly cars. And pretty duff ones at that. If they gave us motorbikes that might make up for the epic problems ive been having.

pfff...

 

Shame Treyarch aren't doing this for all the disgruntled Black Ops players!

 

This is not a good game - i would avoid - Need for Speed Shift 2 is the one to go for!
