Windows TF2 Readers Night March 3rd

    It's the last readers night on TF2 tonight, meaning you all need to be on, and Valve needs to not release another update.

    I'll be on from about half eight-ish as long as I'm not running around on my own.

    Indeed. But did the map ever change? Can't remember when i went on but it was late and in the hour i was there it never moved off dustbowl.

    One of the problems with a server that never gets used, if there is a fault, no one icks it up until game night.


    I did switch the maps halfway through with rcon, but it was a bit of a mess.
    I'd not used rcon before, and mannaged to swap the maps before I was ready.

    It was on pipeline for an hour, then went to dustbowl , IIRC


    but at the time I had a the following open:
    Group chat, asking if folks were happy with the next map
    Friends window Looking for one of the admins to ask a question about maps.
    Console, checking map list and trying to work Rcon
    Web browser, checking commands for recon map change and map list.

    Somewhere juggling all the open windows and "shift tabbing" between web and stuff, I swapped map. :blush:

    I decided it was best not to mess with it again.



    IIRC the only Bit-tech - CPC staff I saw was Rogan, but they may well have played under another name.

    Looks like that might have been the end of the TF2 server.
    BC2 looks to be the next big thing.
