just got a TFT from a member on here, but im having problems with it.
the colours are messed up in certain places under windows, and when on desktop, the best way for e to describe it, is that it looks like a TV when its not quite tuned in correctly, with 'noise' or grainy effects all over the screen.
i cant do a screen ******** to let you see as it looks fine on a different computer, so its deffo the screen at fault.
ive tried different gfx cards, computers and its the same on all of them. it looks like its having problems with displaying certain colours really.
everything else is fine though, so i dunno if its borked or whether itd be a setting somewhere.

would formatting the pc solve anything or is it knackered?
and, does anyone know what the LG warranty thing is? 3 years? swap out or RTB?

    cheers

    :)

Well, why did the member sell it in the first place? It was probably already faulty, unless it just happened. Either get your money back, or if it's still under warrenty, send it for repair or replacement.

And LG are pretty good in terms of customer service, they are based in S. Wales somewhere and you shouldn't have problems really.

It wasn't faulty when I posted it , and I know, cause I was the person it was got off...

Its still under warranty, if its 3 years, have emailed you the amazon receipt :) if ya get any problems with LG support (i.e. if they whine cause its not the same person) let me know and I'll have a go :)

I think by law Amazon only has control over the product for 28 days. After that its the manufacturer's responsibility. So go the LG route. Dunno why they are closed today, seems a bit weird, unless they are having their bank holiday today instead of yesterday!

It could also be EMI on the cable. Are you using an extension? Some of the connector pins may be bent as well. I had a technician that works with me complain that his LCD was blurry and hard to read. It turned out that the extension cable he was using was not shielded enough, and would mess up the display. The cables would work fine on a CRT however. Worth a check in any case. Remember to check both the end that connects to the PC, and the end that connects to the screen.

ive used 3 dsub cables and 1 dvi cable and its still the same.
the clarity is fine, its just the colours that are screwed up. in certain points of the screen its like a negative thing thats going on. its hard to put into words what it looks like though.
