And now its time for a new one. There’s only one problem... I find myself lacking in the knowledge of cell phones now a days. I don’t really know any of the good brands, good models, or good options on the phones for that matter. Anyone got an idea of a good cell to get? Im looking at a $350 price range. I was also thinking of something like the t-mobile MDA or the sidekick II but like I said I don’t know how reliable though things are so any input would be very.
Hmmm. I have no idea where you are from and have no idea what this "t-mobile" or "sidekick' are. I've recently owned a Sony Ericsson k750i but had a few problems with it. So I was able to return it and get a other phone. Currently I have a Samsung E770. It's a really nice phone.. it's my first clamshell and I'm loving it! So my advice would be to stick with Samsung/Nokia. L
Ermmm u won't something with a good battery life, good memory, good camera and video personnally you want something with a big camera i would advise a 6230i god camera good battery life(dont go for the 6230 i h8 that fone)it just lacks memory even with a memory card another good fone u could try is the samsung d500 which is absouletely class or the d600 which im not quite sure about ok hope this helps and if ur 19 or under i would advise goin with 02 but if ur over 19 then any 02 is gd for teenagers NexxoTranslate: You want something that has a good battery life, good memory, good camera and video. Personally, if you want something with a big camera I would advise a 6230i: good camera, good battery life (do't go for the 6230i; I hate that mobile phone). It just lacks memory --even with a memory card. Another good phone that you could try is the Samsung d500 which is absolutely class, or the d600 which I am not quite sure about. OK, I hope this helps. If you are 19 or under I would advise going with O2, but if you are over 19 years of age, then any provider will do; o2 is good for teenagers.
New Samsung phones out soon in the UK. Samsung Z510/540 and the P300 (for some retro casio styling) No idea about america though. and tecguy, seriously think about what you are typing before you just splurge it all out omgiaduhsysgsadehuwasjeoiwaekwkpaswedaw
Lol... The 6230i is basically the same as the 6230i just that the i has slightly improved software and a better camera. So you hate the 6230 but recommend the i? Riiiight.. And whats all that crap about o2 being for teenagers? o2 has good deals for anyone, no matter what age you are. Btw, he mentioned a price range in dollars, which makes your recommendation for o2 pretty useless...
well if he is looking at t-mobile or "sidekicks" then he is from the US. Your basic service providers around the US are T-mobile, boost, cingular(att wireless) Alltel(cellone), amp mobile, sprint, and nextel. This place will give you a pretty detailed review on a sidekick II http://www.engadget.com/2004/09/21/gear-eye-t-mobile-sidekick-ii/
Please state what are the most important attributes for you, and what you would predominantly use it for.
You can get the Z510 now from O2 but i'm waiting for the P300. http://www.slashphone.com/news/uploads/2865/samsung_sgh_p300_3.jpg That just about says it all!
Will do. Well im looking for somthing that is somewhat big because i dont like haveing the feeling all the time that im going break the thing. im all so looking for good battery life, nothing like gooing 10 days with out chargeing but somthing that will last a day and a half. a big screen would be nice so i can see all the pretty lights. Bluetooth is not really a big deal but it would be nice to have the option open to me if I ever decide to get into it. Easy texting and I would like it to look cool. Please nothing that looks like a triangle or a fish or whatever other Shapes they have now. that all i want, is it to spisific or do i need to widen my search? BTW: the O2 Xda Exec, dose/will t-mobile support it?
I cant stop laughing. Thanks for the translation nexxo, do you have a 1337text to english dictionary somewhere. On topic Im looking at a new phone as well, I hate flip phones but I do like the 750i. Does anyone here have any experience with one of those or recomend another phone. Thanks
didn't know that cheers. the only thing that puts me off the p300 is that apparantly it has shocking battery life because it's so tiny. not a major turn one for me
"We decided to make it a bit wider than usual and give it flatter keys so it'll become direct competition to the Razr..." <A88>
Care to explain that one? One 19 year old here, quite happy with the service O2 provide. As its much better than every other network I've ever used.
in my personal experience i would stay way the hell away from tmobile, as their service & billing departments suck... i was incorrectly billed every month of my 3 years of service with them (they consistently charged me for things like text messaging plans when a) i never text, b) i never signed up for them and c) i asked them to make sure it wasn't a part of my plan every time i called to bitch about it), and to this day, even though i have cancelled my service with them, i receive a monthly bill for $0.00 (this almost two years after cancelling) verizon has amazing coverage pretty much everywhere, and now that sprint/nextel have merged, their networks are expanding exponentially. you're pretty much stuck to cingular/att, tmobile (basically any GSM network) if you want a decent bluetooth enabled phone or all the new bells & whistles... but if you're looking for a phone (and just a phone), nextel or sprint are good places to look i love my nextel... has free incoming calls, unlimited nights/weekends, 300 outgoing minutes for daytime use, unlimited two way coast to coast walkie talkie for $50/month... does not have text messaging, though does enable me to track workers, family, and other things using the gps as for phone manufacturers, i've had decent luck with motorola (never had one break to this day, and i've dropped several off the backs of bikes, sides of buildings, down flights of stairs, into pools, ponds, puddles, hell this current moto (nextel) i830 ended up frozen in a block of ice by accident one night whilst drunk), i've had a couple of nokias, and have found them extremely fragile (like drop down a flight of stairs and die), and decent luck with sony/ericcson outside of occassional freezes of the java os with my old t610 battery lives all really depend on how much you use it etc... my nextel lasts a good 2-3 days as long as it's in a coverage area (when it's not in coverage, it actively network searches and runs the battery down pretty well) and modern phones tend to get 2-3 days of standy time when not used, and probably 2-3 hours of constant talk time.. using things like camera/built in mp3 players/bluetooth makes a significant dent in battery life from experience... as does text messaging (mainly because the backlights tend to stay on whilst typing)
motorolla make nice looking phones, shame they are as slow as **** and can't design a gui for toffee. plebs. Samsung Z510 is win win, looks of the razor with the speed and functionality of samsung
