I already tried Orca - results are still sub-par. I might just sack the roll of PETG and stick with better brands.

Elegoo Slicer is another OrcaSlicer fork, just like the one Qidi provides. So in terms of importing the filament profile, whatever works in OrcaSlicer should work in Elegoo Slicer.

Whether or not you’ll get good results is another matter. I’ve found PETG to be a little finicky, even across multiple brands, multiple profiles, and multiple slicers. I’ve had the best results by sticking to the “Generic PETG” profile and just tweaking the temperature down a little bit. Every search result you’ll find will be people telling you to run calibrations, which isn’t really helpful.

For PLA though it can make a huge difference. I accidentally used the Elegoo PLA profile with Overture filament and it over-extruded.

Very nice quality print. Is that PETG or PLA?

PLA-CF - the quality of the finish is fantastic.

    I love this machine.

I might be about to make it worse... Got some Samla boxes from Ikea? Such as an 11L one, or a 5L one perhaps?

EDIT: Forgot to mention the modular baseplates... :hehe:

I'm safe there - my particular storage box fetish is the Really Useful Box range. I have dozens of the things, from 2 litres to 84 litres.

[edit] of course, there are profiles for those boxes too... sigh

It might not look like much but that's the tidiest that drawer has ever been.

That's not bad, Pete. Considering how much later you ordered it - they clearly ramped up production to deal with the demand.

Check your spam folder, you should've got one a day or two ago from "ELEGOO UK", titled "A shipment from order #EUK<$NUMBER> is on the way".
Where <$NUMBER> is your order number obvs.

It's meant to be by the end of August either way :)

Ah, it seems to be that DPD has received notice of a parcel but haven't actually got it yet, just DPD's emails are really confusing! On its way either way!

I'm immune to gridfinity. I learned long ago partitions remove available space, and boxes acquire junk. For example, the wrench drawer in my toolbox is so full it sometimes needs a good jiggle to level it enough to close.

But if I don’t have $places to put $stuff, $stuff just piles up everywhere

To be fair though, I have $stuff piling up everywhere even when $places exist for it :hehe:.

The trick is to start collecting shelving $places, then $stuff can pile up vertically and you can still access all of it. ;)
