That's a useful mod if you've bought some PolyDryer boxes without the heater units. I have four, with two heaters - they're more flexible than my S4 and I tend to print straight from them rather than the S4.
Found the rewind mods for the E1 I've been looking for:- https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7209862 https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3781815
There is a french youtube vid discussing the CC1 CANVAS installation: You can auto-dub into English There are two long bracket which attach to the panel screws and support two spool holders each.
Yeah, he thought he was missing a vital piece so didn't attempt assembly and just did an unboxing type deal.
I AINT klickin' that. Youboob updated their adblock bypass and my feed will be flooded with French politics. -Funny how they time the updates with major elections...
I’ve honestly never had a problem with this. I do pay for premium, so I wouldn’t see ads anyway, but I still use an ad blocker and I’ve never been harassed, threatened, etc.
Have a UK-based 'tuber instead Sadly, the official install video is locked behind a QR code in the manual https://raw.githubusercontent.com/OpenCentauri/tools/refs/heads/main/pdf/CC1_canvas_manual_EN.pdf
If I drop the VPN, the ads still get blocked but YouTube often slows to a crawl. I just figured it was a punitive measure against UBO users. It doesn't happen when the VPN is up.
It's not locked, it's just not public - guess nobody's pressed the go-button yet! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkFeYZKRTZ8aUYZjVJ33Wra1PfxTajMwz Weird - never had that! I used to have a problem where it'd fail to load most of the page, including half the chrome - but that was due to some custom rules I'd put in myself. Deleted those and it's been fine ever since, no slowdown or issues at all.
Not surprising, given that the first customer units aren't arriving until around May 10th. <shrug emoji>
Lacking a “proper” workspace in which it can be housed while in operation, I’ve rigged up a bit of a janky solution for ventilating the resin printer. If it’s stupid but it works, is it really stupid…? I still can’t actually test it yet, I’m waiting on replacement film that should be here today. Also, I have been learning about the enshittified hellscape of software and hardware for resin printers. I’m so used to the FDM world, with its origins firmly in the world of open hardware, open source software, and RepRap. Back in ‘t day, printers were all running Marlin firmware, or some derivation/modification thereof, and Cura was the slicer of choice. These days it’s Klipper and Orca Slicer. You can pretty much guarantee that someone will have figured out how to update or modify the firmware, and that if Orca doesn’t have an out-of-the-box profile for your printer then someone has already made one available. There are exceptions like Bambu Labs where it’s more of an “ecosystem”, or higher-end stuff like FormLabs; but your Elegoo, Creality, Qidi, AnyCubic, etc, printers are all pretty generic when you get under the bonnet. Resin printers, on the other hand…? Nah mate, **** all that “open” rubbish. All those brands & manufacturers making resin printers all use hardware from Chitu. Oh, and you need their Chitubox software in order to slice the files, you can’t just chuck any old gcode file on a USB stick and call it done. By the way, did I mention that Chitubox is $16 a month for anything except the most basic features, and that Chitu keep removing features from the free version? Oh, I didn’t…? Well… ok… I guess you could try Lychee instead… it’s not like there are absolutely 100% zero alternatives… But Lychee also costs money if you want all the features. Bit of a surprise landing for someone so used to the FDM world, that’s for sure. And it may have got better over the years, since this Mars 3 Pro is 3-4 years old now…
****, I've not had my coffee yet and I'm triggered already. "Centuri" Carbon one. Five times in the first minute. Dude, it's ****ing Centauri. Carry on, everyone. A more tolerant service will commence after I've been sufficiently caffeinated.
I gave up when he named each part as he unboxed them, then laid them all out and named them again 30 seconds later.
