feeding it isn't the issue - it actually runs through the canvas unit without issue. It's just having to print it at speeds that would embarrass my Anet A8, 10 years ago, that drives me up the wall. I've seen loads of videos claiming you can print it really fast but it just ends up as a broken mess on the build plate when I try. I remember seeing a TPU Airless Basketball on Uncle Jessies YT channel, which I thought was very cool until I heard him say 70 hours print time. Fook right orf.
What is 70hours for a full TPU basketball... nothing that! I dream of something so cool in that time.
Eh! I'm looking at printing a rackmount system... maybe... all the parts (time added up getting as much on each plate as is sensibly possible) - each plate is about a 48 hours each! 5 plates!
Are you saving for a new printer? If it's within the next two weeks it might be worth waiting!! This is what I'm currently printing my way towards: Although, I'm following the design that uses 2020 alu extrusion instead of PVC pipes for support rails. Only because I have plenty of 2020 extrusion to hand.
Thats one benefit of 5kg spools, way easier to store I still need to make an enclosure for it though! I was really hoping Elegoo's filament holder would be 5kg compatible seeing as they sell those spools!!!
Towards lots of filament storage drawers... it's almost like a wet dream. I was trying to find good storage things for the lego and the like. Especially wall mounted. What is due in the next couple of weeks? The kickstarter Sovol? Or A sub £500 bambu 4-6 true multi-tool printer with 500x500x500 build volume And with no locked-in-ecosystem!?!?! I am thinking of trying to get a new printer. It is just justifying it at the moment. Was looking at the Centauri 2 Combo - then remembered I wanted multi-head not just multi-colour. So FF Creator 5Pro is in my sight. As an alternative to the U1, which i'd need to get all the addons to make it a chamber style.
I was just opining on how long your current printer will take to produce all that. Yeah, the creator 5 Pro caught my eye too - these was a bit of buzz about how open their platform is though, and I haven't been following closely enough to know if there's any substance there. The Infimech MX Pro looks very interesting too, at the early bird launch price; if you have the stomach for Kickstarter. They aren't a fledgling company though and I think they are part of a much larger concern - it's becoming common for established companies to use crowdfunding, as the viral/social aspect can drum up a lot of interest. I'll take a fair bit on convincing before I dip my toe in that pool again though.

Well this bondtech INDX thing is starting to become a massive issue. The hardened nozzles weren';t actually hardened and the thing has some weird issues causing the coils to break and melted filament can come out of the top instead of the bottom.
Yeah, any fibre-filled filaments will eat through those semi-hardened nozzles in no time. I heard Prusa is going to make all customers whole, by replacing or refunding the cost of hardened nozzles; regardless of what Bondtech is going to do. I'd imagine this will signifcantly increase the cost of all INDX based products going forward. Minimum six to eight nozzles per machine? Ouch.
I'm making do, because I don't have my longer lengths of 2020 cut to size yet. However I should get six or seven reels per drawer. Got enough printed for three drawers for now.
Lateral file cabinets fit reels still in the box vertically. 13 bagged reels take up a little more than half a drawer. -Just a thought.
