Speaking of Qidi printers... Mine's been running almost non-stop lately, printing this stuff:

Wot's all dat for? Plastic tabletop crack, that's what:

Scenery pieces for the StarCraft Tabletop Miniatures Game. A few weeks ago, I found this "similar to but legally distinct from StarCraft" ramp set, intended for StarCraft TMG. It's part of a wider modular system; it uses clips or magnets to attach various different pieces together in whatever kind of configuration you want. The ramps & platforms will be ideal for objective markers in the tabletop game, just like how the original game used the ramps to funnel ground troops through certain kill zones.

Probably a good 2-3 reels of white PLA, so far... :eeek:. But my brother co-runs a local tabletop club that meets once or twice a month, and I'll basically be "donating" the printed parts for their use. Got quite a bit more to get through before next weekend - I haven't even started gluing magnets in yet...!

Yep, firmware 5.1.2 is available. Absolutely no idea what it contains though, no release notes have been published and there’s only a limited description on the machine’s screen.

    Worra lorra StarCraft!

My own printer has been dedicated to Gridfinity over the last couple of days and, likely, the next couple too. I set it running on a plate of bins before I went to bed and woke to find brims enabled! The clean-up is gonna be a pig. Heartbroken.

There’s… umm… still quite a lot left to do… :worried:

Honestly I think I’ll struggle to get it all done in time for when I’m playing on Sunday. Might have to scale back the ambition a little…!

Had the Kobra S1 for a couple of weeks now and I'm pretty happy so far. I haven't done any kind of deep dive into tweaking settings, etc so it's working as it was out of the box. Tested a few different quality levels and materials and compared to my previous printer it's so much easier to use and reduced failed prints by.. well.. almost none now. I also now have a rapidly growing collection of filaments. Most of my new ones are Anycubic's own basic PLA I've been paying around £5 to £12 for.

Printed an external spool holder after finding out you can't put TPU in the AMS.

    Printed a poop bin

Modified my K400 keyboard holder for my Moza R9 base now I can print a bigger volume

Printed fidgets for the kids. Cat ones have mechanical keyboard switches in them

Printed this off-roader to give the printer a work out. Some fine detail, working suspension and wheels, different filaments (PLA, PETG, TPU)
