well it didnt in my case..... but because of it i completely flopped further maths, averaged out at a C and a D though! (did orrite in normal maths) well done to you all! hope you all enjoy uni life, i know i have done so far!

Tip Tip When i did my a-levels i got D,E,E Maths, Physics and computing. I got onto foundation engineering at liec uni in 2001 Anyway what i really want to say is, while ur young, looking at uni course''s, remember to get experince in the work field u would like to work in. If you can retake the a-levels. After i finshed uni this year, every top company wanted 1st or a 2:1, plus 240 plus ucas points in A-level's. Why??? u may ask, this is to sive or filter out all the people that apply. Alot of students get 2:1 these days (besides me, i got 2:2 ) so the companies then look at the next thing 'a-levels'. The other thing that they really want is experience, if you dont get the best grades, try and build up the experience with a year out. check here, its a good web site. Lol, As I dont live across the pond like all of you gents, Im just forced to post my OGT (Ohio Graduation Test. Crappy things, We were the first class to take them ever ) results. The scale is (from worst to best): Limited Basic Proficient Accelerated Advanced Reading- Accelerated (Missed Advanced by 2 points Math - Advanced Writing - Accelerated (Didnt even think I could write that well, Missed advanced by 5 points) Science- Accelerated (Missed by 2 again ) History- Advanced (So thats why I was pushed to take AP History this year ) So yeah, not the same test as you guys took, but equaly as scary. Only because for 2 years the school was cramming OGT crap down our mouths and saying that 1 in 4 people would fail and have to take it again. 98% of my class mates passed. So that means that like 7 or so failed. It was way to easy
well i got my grades and i'm bloody happy! I got: B - Product Design B - Media Studies B - ICT That means i'm into Brunel Uni in London.. my first choice so i'm well happy I'm going to study Industrial Design and Technology (Product Design).
For all you guys who think you got it worse I am officialy the lowest graded probably Geo U Bus U Media predicted C but that's a 2 year course so ... wow...I'm supposed to be getting C's but I have royally ********ed up......
Computing - C General Studies - A English Lit - B English Language - B Classics - B Not at all happy with the computing grade (did it as a night course so only 1 hour per week - clearly not long enough). Happy with classics though since I did the full A-level in one year. Didn't get into Durham but got into Newc doing comp sci - not sure if I'm gonna go this year though
I f'd up CCC in Maths, Physics and Geog at A2. Was 10 points off a B in geog, however, I was predicted B Geog, C Physics, and D maths (the small fact I was 4 marks off a D in Maths..shush ) A for AS general studies (294/300 w00t), and C for AS ICT (crap teacher). But....
forgot to mention in my post what i got Computing - A (the first the school has had in the subject im told) Business Studies - D General Studies - D Physics -E nothing impressive but it got me my first choice so i'm happy, got a bit lucky on physics out of the final three papers i got 2 U's and one E but managed to scrape a over all E by about 3 marks
ok well i ****ed up D - TECH D - COMPUTIN E - PHY 160 points however for some unknown explination iv been accepted by staff's Staffordshire University, S72 Network Engineering and Robotics Technology, HGQX which needed 280 point's so atm im just waiting for them to turn round and say theres been a mistake and actuly my grades are to crap and im not accepted after all
i did well.. b in physics b in art c in design c in maths e in general studies (which is really surprizing as all i did in the answer books was draw pictures) only needed 200 points to get into northumbria... cannot wait for freshers week!!
HHmmm, I havnt got a grade to give you but here are my AS module scores: Maths (%) : C1 - 93 C2 - 85 C2 - 73 M1 - 88 M2 - 94 M3 - 43 S1 - 90 S2 - 67 M3 is too difficult
no where yet... accomodation for everyone hasn't been sorted yet has it? Me and the cleaner havent been given any info yet.
