Cooling The amazing floating reservoir

    Just took off the panels to do some much needed cable management and found that the 12mm stiff nylon tube down to the pump seemed to be enought to hold the res on its own :eeek:

    for now.... if the tubing is stiff enough I guess it will hold it. Wouldn't want to leave it that way for an extended period though.

    The worry comes when ya water temp gets hot, the pipes will soften, and you may have your res colapse down, folding the hot tubes and restricting flow. Cool that it stands up but make sure you reattach it to the panel before power up!

    I once had a tube, fine in the cool temps work, but once powered up, collapsed and my temps went rather high! ;)

    Don't worry, its only while I was doing a bit of maintenance. A bit of a joke on nylon tubing which seems to have a bend radius about the same size as the case!

    sadly my case is 3X the size of that and the wiring is much worse without any water cooling
