Here's a copy of an email I sent out to everyone this morning:

    Telephone Line Maintenance

    Dear All,

As part of the upgrade to their network, please be aware that BT will be cleaning their lines this morning. They do this by feeding slightly compressed air down the lines. This could mean that a little bit of dirt may come out of your phone handset. It has been suggested that the time this is scheduled for is 10am. The best idea I’ve heard is to lay a piece of paper over the phone when it’s not in use.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    - It got a few laughs :)

The secretary at our front desk came in this morning to what looked like a prefectly normal desk. The only problem was that EVERYTHING (pens, mouse, mousepad, papers, phone, headset, box of tissues, etc) was all firmly secured to her desk with double-sided foam tape.

The extra half hour in the office last night was totally worth it:clap::clap::clap:

Not even sure that is an april fools or a clever way to advertise their half price strawberries.

Or the April fools is to make you think its an April fool, when it is just a clear way to advertise their strawberries.

    Or maybe its......

    ....meh forgot it.

I have to say today I slept until about 1pm, got up, got dress, got my girlfriend and went to Ikea.

We got back not too long ago so either nothing good has happened today or I missed it all.

I saw it on Eurogamer. The biggest laugh from me was at 32 seconds when they were joined by SW1SSTONY.

The really good one I saw was in the MK News where they reported plans to build a 60 metre high concrete cow in Milton Keynes. To put that in perspective, the Angel of the North is 20 metres and the proposed horse in the south is 40 metres. Details included an observation deck on top of the head and its giant udders being made of glass and housing a cafe/bar. Sadly the story is missing from the website. As funny as I found the story, I've actually warmed to the idea.

Death, pregnancy and illness are three things that should never be joked about. Several of my co-workers saw that and they've recently had family members pass away, safe to say they won't shop at laptops direct again

My 01.04.09 joke, was cycling in to work, my chain breaking, having no spare links, walking 6 miles to the bike shop, to find they're extremely poorly stocked - no Shimano chains at all - Having to take the day off work, travelling 15 miles to the nearest Halfords, where a Dura Ace 7900 chain costs me ~£50 quid. I spent about £70 in total today. Hopefully I can use today as a holiday so I don't forfeit a days pay. **** sake.

i just remembered thinkgeek always has good april fools stuff, and they really didn't disappoint this year: portal t-shirts with real portals, squeezable bacon spread, and unicorn-chaser brand mind bleach.
