the asus nforce2 board

    Well, mine got delivered - to the wrong address. Forgot to change it from the billing address (my home at fort hood). Needless to say, I won't have it for about another week when i have time to drive there and pick it up from the post.

    I just had a question for people with the (the deluxe model). Does it have optical out for sound? I checked the stats page once or twice, but not really in depth, and I'm feeling lazy now so I'm asking instead of searching the net for 5 minutes. ;)

    nope, well not the actual "optical" i assume your talking about the square plug with the red light, and the board doesnt have it... :sigh: i wish it did so i could connect it to my hifi system, but ill get osme converters soon enough

    It does not have optical out built-in,
    but you can buy a daughterboard that has it,

    It does have a RCA type digital out built-on.
    The board also has a header for digital in and digital out.
    The daughterboard connects to this.

    OR you could build your own, search google for TOSLink to RCA converters. then wire what would be going to the RCA to the header.
