Nice. You think there would be any way to make the LED that sits under the wheel to slowly fade in and out, would make a nice effect I think. Although, I dont know of you could fit every thing needed into the mouse.
He did say previously but it may have been deleted now. The rig is gonna be used as a gaming rig for showboating [EDIT] ATi - not the ones who make poo graphics cards... [/EDIT] and AMD hardware, so the mouse + keyboard etc. need to be connected so someone doesnt just walk off with them - Zap is rigging up a circuit that sets off an alarm if one of the peripherals is removed without permission/authorisation. He can tell u more....
Nice work Zap, I am loving the Lazer cut stuff. How long does it generally take to cut those out with that model Lazer? I might have to get me one. Truly Awsome. Can't wait to see the Final Pics.
Xeno, could you please edit the images out of your quote to save space? Fillip got it right. The original plan was for totaly cordless, but chorded is much more secure. That is one idea, depending on time though. Well it doesn't take very long for the actual laser, but it takes lots of time planning out the cuts, and a few prototypes to get things 100% right. (I made 5 firewheels in total)
Cool looking MOD Hey Zapman, How goes the battle, nice work so far on the PC. How is the 9800XT working for you? Send me an email with an update. Cheers, ATI GUY "The Ultimate in HD Gaming - RADEON X800 SERIES"
Wow, our forums are graced by a guy from ATI (Wow, that rhymed ) BTW, nice job with the X800 XT. To be honest, I wasnt expecting the card to compare this well with the Nvidia card. Nice job Now give Zap a X800 XT
Hey, glad to see you here. My Radeon 9800XT has been running absoutly beautifuly, I love it. I'll get that e-mail to you. But for the Bit-tech users, here is another update: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I decided the try and paint the keyboard red to make it ATI colors. But once I started painting, I found a much more wicked look, by just painting the edges of the keyboard red, and the middle a dark black. All that I used was light sprays of black vinyl dye, and red Krylon fusion. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- I also replaced the green LEDs with red LEDs. (They are very bright, but aim straight up, so they don't really get in your eyes) -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is a close-up of the paint job. It transistions from total red, to total black from the edge to the middle. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here you can see that the color matches the mouse very well. I will clear coat the keyboard later to give it protection for the road. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- This show shows what they look like together on a desk.
awesome work, im loving it(how could i not) the red to black transition is absolutely awesome. fits the theme perfectly, although i think you should do something to incorporate AMD green into the mix.
Oooo, foxeh ladeh! XD Beautiful work Zap! Out of curiosity, what are you using to protect the paint job on the keyboard?
very nice keyboard, and it gives me an idea just need some blue and some chrome (if they make those) krylon fusion too bad i'm under 18
That is in the plans, if I have enough LEDs left over I will add a green under-glow. All the AMD green will be a UFO glow effect, basicly as if the power is leaking out from the inside. I will be adding clearcoat to protect it, but I don't have any at the moment.
You have done a spectacular job of making this computer Zapwizard; the style and theming that you have going are absolutely fantastic. In accordance to these design concepts, are you going to be supplied with a monitor for matching with the rest of the theme? As far as I can tell so far, this system is going to have all matching components, but not having a monitor that matches the style of the computer doesnt make sense. Since I didnt see this mentioned in any of the posts you have made (or forum members) I am curious as to wether or not this has been considered.
I asked about that, but there will be no custom monitor, as many trade shows rent them, or they are simply too bulky or fragile to ship constantly. I did however give the same paint job to a 15" viewsonic I have lying here, so that if I take the PC somewhere I do have a matching monitor.
Zap you amaze me again this mod is...dare i say it?..godlike. I only have one question, where did you get the clear scroll up and scroll down buttons for the mx510, because i have that mouse and I wanted to get clear buttons for it as well, for lighing purposes.
NVM my post, he's right they are clear , but they do lok awful black at 12:09am lighted only by my monitor.
