All that list says to me is what a poor year it was in general. Most of those games (Prey apart) look and play like poor console ports.
Thankfully, due to my tight value loving nature I'm a year or two behind the curve. Still on FO4 and haven't touched the Witcher 3 or Elite yet.
Hopefully by the time they're done there'll be something I fancy out. Nothing appeals to me, well perhaps Uncharted as I've played the rest.
Can't please everyone ever year though. Looking forward to Red Dead 2 and the next Last of Us in 2018. Oh and hoping X4 will be a return to its previous roots.
Different tastes and all that, I'd say it was a pretty good gaming year. I would have added Cuphead, Resident Evil 7, Nier, Nioh and Total War Warhammer II while kicking Tides of Numenera out, yes I know that would have moved the list even further away from a top 10 format.
Bizarre post Half the games are console exclusives and a couple are PC exclusives.
Just what it looks like to me.
The previous year we had the excellent Dishonored 2 and Deus Ex. Proper 'PC titles.
All I can see from that list is load of 3rd person console cack.
I know what you're saying, however I hardly think Divinity: OS2 and Torment: ToN qualify as console cack.
