Totally agree with #1! HL Alyx is a game-changer. VR excited the **** out of me from day one and I queue for 5mins on the dev kit at early Insomnia events, just for a glimpse of what 'Tomorrows World' promised me 15 years earlier. Everything feels right in Alyx! and if you've not played it, I recommending jumping on the bandwagon. In a world where we'd spend more on a Keyboard, you can interact with a world in a whole new way for a CV1 RIFT.
Desperados III probably my favourite game of the year.
CKIII certainly on my to play list, just couldn't justify it quite yet.
Alyx and Valve’s Index, with Knuckles controllers, in 4mx3m room scale - best gaming experience of the decade.
The best thing about VR is that each time it improves a milestone, we can go back and experience Alyx all over again!
I find it weird that Noita is there on list and Hades is missing. This new title from Supergiant is one of the best indie games in recent times. It might be the first roguelite that pulled story-telling to such degree.
Could have easily made it a top 15 by adding Hades, Phasmophobia, Yakuza 7, Desperados 3 and Risk of Rain 2.
I would definitely have Hades on that list of top games of this year.
I haven't played it, but from what I've heard, I'm surprised Control isn't on there.
That was originally released in 2019 and made the list back then.
They have then released it again in 2020 as an Ultimate Edition.
