Made around a Shuttle barebone, this is my interpretation of the Big F*cking Gun, from the classic first person shooter Quake2. Inside I made a rotating "ball of green plasma", lots and lots of green UV inside, in the dark this baby lights up like a christmas tree Became second in The Dutch National Casemod Competiton 2007. original log http://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/list_message/27233563#27233563 pictures directory http://clan-rag.gameparty.net/bitchie/case/11/BFG-b-000.JPG
Thats a very cool case mod. Whats the actual dimentions of it and how much does it weigh? Also what kind of specs is the rig inside? Keep up the good work!
Thanx. The length of the BFG is 1 metre or 3.3 feet. I was thinking, that any longer then that would not be very 'practical' ( pun intended ) Here you see me holding it, with one hand above and one on the bottom. This image is now altered, as I have added a fire-button + grip for the right hand. The weight of the case is not much, the most weight comes from the bottom-plate and the Shuttle contents. 3.2 kg for the shuttle + about another 3 for the aluminium case. Its very lightweight at the far end. The Shuttle is one of my older PCs, a P4-3200, 2 Gb ram, 160 Gb HD and a X1300 Videocard from Sapphire.
What you dont see at first, are two red-lasers I build in the case. Beside my righthand thumb is a AIM button , which activates two 0.5 mW lasers. On top of the handgrip there is a FIRE button, which activates a white stroboscope light that I mounted behind the UV green plasma ball
