I'm reading your posts with the voice of Sheldon, and as such am finding them quite amusing. :hehe: Love the show.

    QFT

How I Met Your Mother was on BBC 2, but recently I think I stumbled across an episode on one of Channel 4's additional channels. Can anyone confirm this? I never look at the schedules for those as not all my TVs have digital and I hate to think how many episodes I've missed.

Well as Sheldon is my favorite character on the show, I take that as a compliment.

Though it's really different both in style as well as tone.

Good, as it was intended to be. Well, maybe not a compliment as such, but certainly not an insult. I should have made that more clear. For some reason his voice just popped into my head as I was reading and added another dimension.

Crisis averted, stand down everyone. :)

Big Bang Theory = Solid Gold Win IMHO :geek:

I love it, my non-techy football-loving former housemate loves and my sister loves Sheldon.

I think it's OK. At least there's some geeky jokes in there (I loved the Doppler Effect halloween costume!). Or A homo habilis who's just discovered his opposable thumbs says what...? one from the same episode (had to explain that one to the other half, though).

It sure as hell beats Friends, the only other comedy (and I use the word loosely) available in English in my area. Or, for that matter, any French "comedy" shows. Seriously, French "humour" sucks: "ha-ha, ay man in ze wig! LOL! Men do not have ze long, woman hair! Ha-ha! I have ze baguette! Let us eat it while we look at ze wig and laugh! Ha-ha!" Hilarious.

The only thing I didn't get from the whole series was the Doppler Effect. I agree to everything is said to the second paragraph. :thumb:

Its funny watching it with friends or family, I get all the jokes and most of the time have to explain them. I found the para-DOX t-shirt in the first series amusing. One of very few chemistry jokes I find amusing I must admit.

    Season 1 - great!
Season 2 - still pretty funny.
Season 3 - not so much.

For shame. I think they've used up the good jokes tbh.

I agree that the jokes are getting duller and duller but seriously the jokes never end when the subject is one, the show will find its way and mature, in my belief. Still I enjoy watching the show over many other "funny" ones.

I didn't like the show at first because of the actress who plays Penny, but she grew on me and liked her acceptance of the group.

I watch it with the Mrs, she doesn't understand why I laugh at some of the jokes, especially Sheldon's.

My most favourite bit is when Penny gets Sheldon a nap kin that Leonard Nimoy used, that's probably how I would react!!

I like both shows but have to say HIMYM is better out of the two in my view.
On a side note did the girl who plays Penny in the big bang theory have a boob job?

The new series has been a bit poor, Apart from the one where Sheldon starts to use positive reinforcement on Penny :D That cracked me up.

I thought Season 3 was getting weaker, but the last couple of episodes have been pretty funny.

Whereas Two and a Half Men is still as funny as ever!

Episodes heavy on Sheldon and Penny interaction are usually the best. :)
