Just about any instrument you can name, I play. Even a lot of the ethnic ones. I do a lot of composition/playing/production. Got two singers, even. Could always use some more though! If any of you are good vocalists, post here/email me. I've got a full studio packed to the brim with equipment/instruments, music is _definately_ my love. Computers take #2. Any of you who are interested in doing any collaborations or remixes, let me know!
Started trying to learn guitar a few months back, haven't been giving it much attention recently but I'm not doing too badly considering.
I played piano professionally for 11 years. Where professionally is defined as making enought to pay my rent, without a 'day job' of any sort. I retired 5 years ago when my son was born. Mainly because being out til 03:00 playing in bars made no sense to me at that point. This is a pic from a jazz festival some three years ago, I came out of retirement to cover the gig for a friend of mine. I'm at far left, seated at the Steinway. I have a couple of mp3s of songs from this gig, recorded on my Sony handycam (mono, live, in the crowd, generally pants sounding). http://www.bit-tech.net/linear/getting-to-know-you.mp3 (jazz standard) http://www.bit-tech.net/linear/wang-dang-doodle.mp3 (blues) http://www.bit-tech.net/linear/my-ship.mp3 (jazz ballad) And here's about the only other mp3 I have of myself playing, (http://www.bit-tech.net/linear/my-funny-valentine.mp3) it's pants for completely different reasons, but it sounds more like my playing style despite the fact the recording was made over ten years ago. Comments about the audio quality can be sent to /dev/null, I know these aren't brilliantly engineered. And on occasion, I've done a gig or two with a real jazz musician.
<Insert muttley-style sweary-growl here> By the way... I googled for 'linear1 vinyl smell' this morning just so it would show up on your site...man I was bored this morning. *n
I've been playing the guitar for a while....acoustic, electric, bass on occasion. Here's my stuff: http://jason.cavanaugh.home.attbi.com/music/laurasong.mp3 http://jacavanaugh.home.attbi.com/music/resting.mp3 http://trekari.home.attbi.com/music/hey.mp3 Ya ya I know...stupid names. The actual website is http://jacavanaugh.home.attbi.com If anyone has opinions...please email me at jacavanaugh@attbi.com Thanks. -Jason
Sorry, it did work, but I found blueyonders attachment system unbelievably annoying as it refused to let me 'right click -> save as' or download it like you want to be able to, oh no, it opens some spawn of the devel HTML Popup window for MS MTIC mail system, blah blah blah, then opens it in media player or quicktime Anyways, got it on my ftp now...this was the only sample i got with your mail... http://www.willisoverthemoon.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/Penskisa9one12.mp3 (Right click, save as....) Track: Albino Nine Featuring Gandalf the White on Moog - One (D's August 12th remix)
Uploaded (finally).... http://www.willisoverthemoon.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/albino23.mp3 Right click -> Save As....
Okay there you go. Thank you very much, Will. Should we meet, I shall pur-chase you a pint of finest ale to quaff...Or whatever takes your fancy. One Two One is mostly done, maybe redo the vox on it. Two is still in the instrumental stage and needs a bit of timechopping on the intro/outro *n
Breaks DJ. Hence the name. Strugglin though. Makes it kinda hard around here when there are NO techno clubs. But my friends like the mixes and the 2 CDs I've made.
Im ok at playing thte drums got a kit in the garage must give em another bash sometime but theres no room
This is a little something i made with my guitar a line 6 and cool edit It's ridiculously over the top (in an 80's kind of way) and purists probably shouldn't even listen, but oh well Ultimate Rock!! Oh and i ain't talking to the drummer i know, hence the crappy drum machine!
