A much quieter psu, the Corsair TX850 has plenty of power for my rig, but it's a noisy little bugger :'(
A black Silverstone FT03B ITX - its the one case I've always wanted but never been able to justify. EDIT: Also amazing TGS!
A no frills SSD for my wife's PC, like a 64gb sandisk. Bought her a V4 but it didn't play nice so now she has a snail slow HDD again
I might be able to help out with this if I can dig out my old USB caddy its got a 64GB SSD in that I'm not using.
What I *need* An AM3 quad, I already have the board, and RAM is easy/cheap enough. What I want is an NZXT 630H, triple cascade, a 12 core Opteron, and a tasty supermicro board to run it in, lol...
A good on the 12v line 500 or so watt PSU to get my server board up and running. Board is 100% 12v, only stuff like hard drives and such needs any different. If I didn't need them it would just need a meanwell, but damn if I don't still have to use disks and such. If you wanted to toss in 4 super cheap socket F waterblocks I would not complain at all.
Would love a new GPU, something like a 760 or 770. I have to stick with Nvidia because I use Blender and it can use CUDA to accelerate renders in a big way. What sucks is the blender development stopped supporting my old GTX280 so I've been having to use CPU based rendering that takes forever and ever and ever. Other than that, I've not got much in terms of "need" but more "want". Also the battery in my Logitech MX revolution is dying and having had hands on with its replacement I've been totally put off and dejected in trying to find a perfect replacement. What the MX revolution lacks IMHO is a faster sensor, or a DPI switch.. (bit of noob when it comes to mice) I'm an Industrial Designer by trade, and the ergonomics of the MX (for me) are very hard to beat. Sad day when it dies...
A nice Corsair PSU. AX860 would be perfect. Also quite fancy a different CPU for my X58 rig. If I had the cash I would pick a 970.
A bigger Power Supply : / I have a 650w and it's not enough to run my Crossfire, so I have a 5870 sleeping in the wardrobe : /
This all started because I wanted to buy myself a 240GB mSATA drive to upgrade my Ultrabook, for $140. Then I was thinking, I don't actually need it, I just hate having only a 120GB one. That $140 could do a lot of good around here instead.....
Not a component per se, but (secondhand/refurbished) Cisco 2811 router(s) for my Cisco homelab to improve my networking skills and for new certificates after I graduate from Uni. in few years. (Cisco 1841 and 2621XM is fine too)
Actually, I'm fairly happy with my PC kit at the moment (I'm sure it won't last that long), but I would like a 2TB NAS so I can move all my media off my main HDD and replace it with the SSD that has been sat in the drawer for months.
I think I can help you, since you were the first to post. How about: AMD FX6200 3.8GHz Asrock 960GM/U3S3 One 8GB DIMM Crucial Ballistix Tactical Will that work? If so, PM me your addy
OK, we changed the motherboard to the ASRock 970 EXTREME4 instead. I have some SSD's too for those who want to venture out of virgin territory
Anyone need a GPU? I also have a collectable motherboard if anyone has idea/needs/collects this sort of thing: VIA dual-core Nano, ATX format engineering sample board.
