Yes, very worthwhile watching. A brilliantly directed and produced doc, even if you're not an Ayrton Senna fan (how that's possible I don't know but anyway...) it is worth seeing for the awesome F1 history it depicts. It's a 10/10 from me, couldn't have been done better.
It's his obvious disillusionment with F1 despite his success that gets me every time I watch it. The interview at the very end where he's asked who he most enjoyed racing against, and he recalled, with sadness, his early karting days - "no politics... no money either... pure racing". For me that speaks volumes about the state of modern F1. How poignant was it to see Schumacher racing in the Benetton too?
So McLaren expects big performance gains starting this weekend, and has revealed a new livery. Less silver, more grey.
The chance to fight for points would be nice, but having both cars finish a race distance (consistently), would be a major plus.
I also thought that it's somewhat fitting, considering their position on the field, that it looks more like an HRT now... or a 2013 (i think) Sauber (even though that was the one that Checo finished on the podium with)
Blimey, that top-down shot makes you realise how small these cars are. Also, how much of them is devoted to side-impact (yeah, I know there are rads and stuff there also).
The Bit-Tech F1 2015 Thread - Round 5: Spain I think the McLaren looks great in its new livery. Pity it's got hopeless grip and handling at the minute though! You can say what you like about Sky, I think their coverage only gets better as time goes on. Their Monaco preview at the end of the Paddock Live show a few minutes ago was an absolutely stunning piece of film. They really do have some very talented producers and editors, not to mention the presenters. I'll probably always miss Jake Humphrey and the BBC's coverage a bit, but Sky have thrown so much at their F1 coverage that it does blow them away, so I'm as over it as I'll ever be now.
I think that's a very narrow minded way to look at it. Your TV license fee obviously pays for a lot more than the 9 or 10 F1 races they cover per year.
By that logic the beeb were already charging £145.50 for their coverage. I agree with Uni that the Sky coverage is pretty awesome, although the trio of Lazenby, Herbert and Hill still doesn't work for me. Lazenby and Hill are so bloody boring!
I disagree. The £30 a month I already pay to Sky should be enough to let you tag on a single premium channel at £5 each.
I agree with you there - the other sports channels I couldn't give a toss about, so why you have to buy them in a pack I don't know.
