Well they were, just barely, but it's been pretty clear this year that Marussia have been down on power compared to everyone else, yet they still beat Caterham.

I doubt they'll do any better than 10th next year, but with a (more) equal pwer system they should leave Caterham in the dust.

Williams to Mercedes is still a bit of dodgy deal to me, given that Toto Wolff still has a large number of shares in Williams and is high up in the cluster-f**k in waiting Mercedes executive line up.

Money on Merc turning Williams into another Torro Rosso?

In related news, Beeb confirms what everyone knew already: Brawn has left the track.

Wonder if Brawn will go to another team and if so which one...

I didn't realize they brought in Paddy Lowe to take Brawn's job - BBC says it should have been 'aggressively'. No wonder he's pissed off. I'm surprised he lasted this long tbh.

I expect he'll end up in the FIA with Todt. Easy life. The only problem is that he's British, not French, which is what the F in it stands for, right? ;)

I always thought it was Ferrari International Assistance. Ironic seeing how Todt is in charge.

I can hear the radio messages now -

'Don't bother trying to overtake him, he's going to pit soon'

So from that, on the longer distance races with shorter no. of race laps, that would surely narrow the pit stop window to about 4-5 laps meaning the teams would need to pit both drivers? Would also lead to interesting decisions on which driver of the team pits first

Well another year of him on the grid:duh: I really hope the Grosjean wipes the floor with him, and in turn gets booted at the end of the season.

At one point I had Grosjean and Maldonado in the same basket, but after a mostly awesome year Grosjean has matured a lot and earned his seat!

I almost said "if Grosjean can turn it around, maybe Maldonado can too", but I couldn't keep a straight face.

People thinking they actually had a choice, once quantum deal failed to appear it was accept him or leave f1.

Guess we will see hulk at force India now.

I think that tyre thing should just be called 'Hamilton's rule,'

how long have I got to look after these tyres man?

Don't worry Lewis, pit's in five laps, thrash'em

    Wooo!!! I love you guys!!!

Or it's a conspiracy to get Alonso, Button, Perez and Grosjean all thrown out of F1.
Grosjean, the nice guy initially out of his depth in F1 (initially being four four freaking seasons)

Pastor Maldonado, who will always be Pastor Maldonado no matter how long he races for.

There is something wrong with cosmic balance that Pasta has a race win and RoGro doesn't, no doubt that will get rectified in the next couple of years.

Just to add... Bahrain is a night race next year. They were discussing it during today's final race of the WEC season. WEC worked pretty well at night there, so hopefully F1 will too.

F1 night races need more thinking imo, I know it would never work but I would love to see the teams forced to develop a 'Light Nose' for night races rather than using so many floodlights it might as well be a daytime race!

(Think rally Light pods for night stages :D)
