" The uploader has not made this video available in your country. " Seriously, this is EVERYTHING that is wrong with the world of F1.
It's been uploaded by Silverstones Youtube profile, not F1's. Sam Ninja Edit: Just read this as someone else got the same error: "Sorry "name" the rights holders to some of the footage only gave us permission to show it in the UK"
Its a Uk Vid by a UK producer though. If this was on Sky TV and you have a sub you could view it anywhere in the world.
Caterham has been sold to a Swiss and Middle Eastern consortium After Fernandes' 'F1 hasn't worked' comment, this was pretty much a given...
Kimi will allegedly retire at end of 2015 season: Source http://www.espn.co.uk/f1/motorsport/story/165147.html
Assuming Ferrari don't fling money at him to put Hulkenberg or Perez or Bianchi or Kobayashi or Groshean or Vergne or... Actually, I'm starting to reckon Grosjean will be in a Mclaren next year alongside Minimag next year, unless Button pulls his finger out somewhat or Honda have an expressed interest in keeping him.
The head of Renault Sport F1 has [been] retired Again, with seemingly no-one having a good word to say about Reanult's F1 engines this year, this doesn't come as too much of a shock...
Went to watch free practice, the sound is certainly different to previous years (to the extent I thought fp2 was gp3 cars initially....) Its not as bad as I was expecting based on the bad press, off the power the cars are very quiet but there's a lovely sound from the turbo spooling up as soon as the drivers stomp on the accelerator pedal. The Williams sounded awesome off the power heading into the pits as well. Ferrari engine is certainly the best sounding of the lot. In saying that the gp2 cars sounded great - lovely and loud it was nice to hear some screaming from the cars. Shame really! Will be thinking twice about f1 next year, but WEC at Silverstone is very tempting instead!
Theres been storys doing the rounds that the noise the engine makes for ferrari is why its performance is pretty poor. General consenses was all noise is just wasted energy on these new turbos.
I don't think it was idiotic, more bad luck than anything. The bounce and subsequent traction basically made Kimi a passenger, spat him into the barriers and that was it. The trouble with asphalt runoff is it encourages this kind of rejoining the track at speed, begging for mistakes like this to happen every now and again.
All Grosjean crashes were "bad luck" too. Yet he got ban for them, because he didn't think about consequences - neither did Kimi. But Kimi probably took himself out anyway. Edit: So only few bruises they say.
While it's [thankfully] not the tyre 'splode fest like last year looks like there's gonna be a fair few retirements... Also Bottas and Alonso are fair storming through the field...
Alonso is ON FIRE. That move on Vettel was a thing of beauty. EDIT: and Vettel's moaning is annoying as all hell. Seriously, get over yourself.
