I love the Dogtag USB stick. The game's starting to grow on me more and more. I can't stand the Zerg >.<

I play Zerg, and zerglings are my favourite unit. I was playing a fairly large 2v2 today, and both teams had a lot of expansions. Me and my ally moved the bulk of our forces to draw them out into a battle, and as soon as the battle begun, I rallied my zerglings across the map into their expansions. We actually lost the battle but they lost most of the economy so I was able to regenerate my forces quickly and fend off their assault and win the game quickly after that :)

I have to admit I am slightly annoyed to have my real name on my friend list and not be able to put my nick name instead

    Slightly annoyed indeed

Thats only for your RealID friends though? So they already know your real name, so why care about your handle?

Ohhhh that explains it then ! I noticed two of my friends had their nick names whereas everyone else have their real names. That's because I added everyone but those two via Facebook

    Cool :)

You can have two different types of friends, the normal type and RealID. RealID is where you can chat to people in WoW while playing SC2 and things like that.

    Greetings!
Why not three or four types?
And can we upgrade friends from one type to another?

Yes, I think the system is stupid.

I don't think it's stupid at all. You either know someone IRL or you don't.

I'm wondering. You know the mod community is large in SC? Do you reckon someone will make a mod of the original SC for the SC2 graphcis engine?

EDIT: Just saw my sig Bindi >=[

    It's never going to happen.

Not that it would be needed anyway

+rep for good taste sir! Nothing I've played since has come close to the same level of strategy offered by this game. I'm still suffering withdrawal symptoms as I have the game tucked away "somewhere safe" but I'll be damned if I can find it! :grr:

I've decided to grab this one myself as I spent many a happy hour obliterating Zergs (we hates them!) over LAN. I'll reserve judgement on the required battle.net side of things until I see how my (somewhat unreliable) connection handles it.

+1 The USB stick is damn nice:)

Got down with the game quickly for a few sp missions, it really captures the spirit of the first game excellently, while still feeling fresh and new. I'm really liking it so far.

Gonna give the mp a shot tomorrow, my brother's been raging about it all day. Offensive bunkering Cheesecake, hopefully.

So this franchise is pretty famous or something, eh. I don't understand how I missed it so completely until recently.

Yeah... in terms of multiplayer, most of the original SC units are still there. It wouldn't be a significant gameplay change.

It might be cool if someone takes the time to port the original SP campaigns over to SC2, a la Half Life Source.

Interesting read impar. It confirms I have nothing to fear with my setup.

    What about fear itself?

I mean, F.E.A.R. was a pretty intense graphics engine back in the day.

I loved how the AI would flank or counter your attacks in F.E.A.R.

    Topic: Question:
Is the mission you get the Viking (For the first time) designed to fail? Being that everything gets infested no matter how fast you build an Army?

It depends, which option did you choose? I sided with the protoss and chose to cleanse the colony myself, and the infestations happened gradually as I built up units. Afterwards there is a cutscene that, with your comment, leads me to believe that your conclusion is a good one.
